We don't seem to concede a team goal (lots of passing then a neat finish) always sloppy, scrappy goals like the 2 yesterday. Just poor defending for both and the first 30 min was torture as if no one wanted to play. Our midfield was bullied and out fought and the service to the strikers didn't exist. Took too long to get into the match and we wasted 16 efforts on goal ! Their keeper made 1 decent save. We could and possibly should have snatched a draw esp in the last 10 minutes. The officials were "weak" but our performance wasn't up to what we have been like in last few weeks. Luckily for us teams around us have dropped points but a win would have put us right there for the top 3 (not mathematically impossible not to end up in the autos) We go again on Saturday and hopefully Canavan is back as the defence looks tired but 2 wins in the next week with 3 away games coming up after that is definitely required if we want to finish strong 💪

Bizarre bus situation/Morecambe rules, getting into the ground and then the drivers being told to reverse and drop us off outside. Thought Feely and Gotts were the stand out players for us, Chester’s been a great signing, for his experience also but everyone makes mistakes at all levels, just a shame it happened in that game and dampened/shell shocked the away following a little going two down. Still plenty to be optimistic about, doesn’t seem long ago when we took a thousand to Fylde for that Quigley goal.

After reflection, trying to work out yesterday, two things spring to mind first the right wingback position, still a big problem we've never solved this since Brad Barry, Stephenson, Warren and Worrall not one of these is up to what we need Tiensia on the left looked the part ( till his injury) but Newby etc have filled in well,
Spence has been outstanding but over the last few games I don't know where we are playing him ? he gets caught in no man's land so we end up like yesterday with Campbell on his own especially if gotts has moved forward, as I've often said playing 3 at the back only looks effective if we press for 30 minutes yesterday we didn't, fine margins but this league is unforgiving!, officials no comment!

As others have said, just one of those days and they’ll happen to any team….it was a shame we saved it for the bay derby though.
First goal looked a bit unlucky but the second was a mess to be honest, not sure what Chester was attempting but just a foot through the ball would’ve done. Any game plan was pretty much gone after twelve minutes.
Whitfield to his credit never gave up on anything and he deserved his goal. The rest had a day to forget.

Still a great position to be in and with Canavan & Tiensia to come into contention for the run in and with teams around us not doing us too much damage yesterday there’s every reason to feel positive.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Nige, Nige , Nige, you do analyse every game, every position to the far end of a fart, seriously since Brad Barry FFS. Look were we are in the league, look at the size of clubs well below us, we are in dreamland, is it perfection in every position or every game your expecting? Look at our points tally, look at our position, I’ll say it again “ Dreamland “. This time next season we could be in Grimsbys position, don’t think clowns on here could cope with it.

You're right but this is a forum, it's for debate and opinions, YET why is it you have to continually get personal over people's comments you NEED to look back over some of your comments including slating Pete Wild among other player's as well sometimes I think you've got a dual personality!😀

Tbh Nige that’s probably because neither Stephenson, Warren or Worral are RWBs 😂
Nothing much gets past Stephenson, ignoring the fact he’s actually a central midfielder, but ok here he’s a RB, not a RWB.
Warren is prone to too many mishaps & Worral has as many defensive bones in his body as Whitfield trying to play LB on the other side.
But to say any of them have been at fault or weakened the team is far off for me.

Whitfield did deserve his goal. But he played a huge part in the first conceded too.
Lost the ball high up the pitch in first minute and made very little effort to rectify it. Resulted in the corner & goal,
he’s only affective going toward goal, a hindrance and a waste in the other direction.

Strange club; no flags in the away end but a full brass band and the accompanying drum allowed in the home end. Having to take a tour round the outside of the ground to get back to the car is a pain as well

The whole business of the goodbye circuit of the ground was just nonsensical as it took you past the home end. The multi-coloured stewards were somewhat confrontational.

It was a great day out till the game started. We just had a mare really.

Very strange way of leaving doing a lap around the ground to get back to the same place you had just left. I saw one guy stop for an angina spray.

Also missed the kick off due to train cock ups and if it hadn't been for some Barrow fans questioning the guard to Lancaster we might have still been there.

Good day out ruined by the football, nothing new. We will make the play offs then we will bottle it.. its a mentality thing

Morecambe sussed us out very early in the game. We couldn't come up with a solution.
We looked very tired and very jaded.
Crap ref - again! Where do they find these f**kers? The Sunday League?
Some strange substitutions from PW.
A strange stadium to visit.
Haven't seen such a large police presence for some time.
Heard tales from people who had received animosity in bars in Lancaster and Morecambe - from pub management.
