All i can say is I wish him very well and thank him for the position he's left us in and and the memories he's given us. I hope we have a decent manager lined up and haven't sacked him blindly without an idea of where we go from here. That being said I trust wood to do the right thing for the club and to take us forward. Temple to take over and have a good go at it for me

I don't really know what to think. I put my trust in the board AND in Pete Wild. Now I don't know who to trust, and I won't until/unless someone coughs up an open and honest reason rather than cut and paste from the sacked manager book of cliches.
For my mind, Pete was the first success story for the board as far as managerial appointments go. Evatt was already there (I think). Dunn was useless, Jolley was the worst manager in my lifetime, Cooper was a nasty piece of work (Rob Kelly kept stepping up to his credit, and Phil Brown was a joke appointment). I thought they had turned it round.

Article reads that all the management have stayed, so surely the fact that Temple has stayed, who was close to PW, indicates he’s found another club rather than a massive fallout?

Being 'sacked' is quite a different story than all the rumours that he was being 'pursued' by other Clubs.

Exactly. Would we fire someone with 3 years on his contract left after two great seasons?

Not necessarily. Wild could have said he needed players x,y and z to improve on this season, the board could have said it was unaffordable and Wild could have resigned. Equally, the board could have asked him to explain why the team imploded and he could have thrown out his toys and resigned. Both situations would be a 'difference of opinions'.

I expect the board thought they had turned it round too. We may never know but I very much doubt the blame lies with the board for his departure.

The Board have been upfront so there has to be a good reason for this
