For me i think our Board will go for the Altrincham Manager.The only problem is he has just extended his contract.
Barrow if successful will be a steping stone.
He has knowledge of players in the National League who we may be able to brjng in

The downside of the Head Coach // D of F route is if things don’t work out on the pitch. Player recruitment or coaching? There has to be clear lines of responsibility for transfer targets. Also cant see Iain Wood bringing in some old skool Manager who may be used to having the full say in transfers, they’ll need to work together well. Expecting someone starting out or stepping up into League football.

I wonder if Temple not leaving is because he fancies the job of Barrow manager or is he just waiting till wild gets a job before he moves to be with him.?
Wild is no longer favourite for Burton job so his options may be dwindling.

Temple can leave just hand in his resignation or do what Wild did and go behind the clubs back and contact other clubs.

Hope temple stays to keep abit of stability for the players that were here last season. He also has some good connects to prem clubs for loans ect. Wouldn’t look past him becoming head coach

The more you think about it he would be the ideal candidate.
If your looking at coaches with limited experience and you already have a coach with a first class CV ,experience at the club loads of wider experience with top prem clubs and an established relationship with DOF on top of which I believe he signed the same contract as wild so still has 3 years to run.
Why look anywhere else.?

They don't want a manager Charlie - they want a head coach. That might make all the difference.

Why? He would be an unknown just as many other suggestions on this board. At least he wouldn't have a record of failure which is also what many other suggestions on here have been.

Rather than an old failed deadbeat, I'd sooner be taking a risk on somebody like Luke Garrard who did very well over the years at Boreham Wood bar his last season or Neal Ardley who had an excellent record at Notts County and Solihull, a decent record at Wimbledon and even managed to win as many as he lost with a very poor York City team.
