Makes 3 attacking changes, none of which involve Mahoney being taken off

Maybe this is too old school thinking but not sure why Mahoney doesn’t get a spell on the left wing for a change; it’s far too predictable what he’s going to do on the right….and that’s when he’s actually on the wing not being asked to be the 10 or one of the 10’s or whatever that formation was meant to be

I personally would have started with Fletcher in Mahoney's position.

He's match fit - just get him in as I can guarantee he'll be hungry

I am never a fan of a back 3 at home - especially against 3rd bottom.

His problem is ,he knows he's a good player, so he thinks we're privileged to watch him, and that by doing the odd nice pass/ cross that's his cameo done and that's why he's gone from being a championship player to a mediocre league 2 player but he needs someone to tell him straight his performances are just not good enough but does anyone see Clemence doing that he's his golden boy and he'll drag everyone down to his standard unless someone kicks his arse !

I thought Mahoney picked the ball up when we got the penalty and decided he was taking it, nobody else got a look in. Clemence i doubt had a say in it.

The players have to take a long hard luck at themselves, Just not good enough. Aquah for a big guy gets pushed off the ball far too easily, looks for a foul a lot, Mahoney is as much of a footballer as I am, Newby gets away with less grief because he’s local, and Garner should have stayed at Morecambe. Did well for them so why not here?

I don't think any of our players were great today but Spence and Gotts both worked their socks off .. Thought Dallas made some good runs too and had good energy

As bad a performance as I’ve seen in recent years - and there’s been some bad ones!

Mahoney shouldn’t have even been in the squad never mind starting, no heart, no desire and apart from glimpses….very little skill. His “penalty” was one of the worst I’ve seen at HS, no way, absolutely no way should he have taken that. How SC made the substitutions and decided it was a good idea to leave him on is baffling to say the least. To take Dallas off was as equally baffling, at least he was running, trying, putting in an effort but to replace him with someone who wasn’t good enough last season and is still the same now!!! talk about how to [SwearFilter] a player off. What message does that send out?

I was told at work that the reason he hasn't gone before now is that the board don't have a lot of money so they're decision was made to back him in the transfer window whether that's a good reason only time will tell!

Anyway, thought you were never watching again..

I didn't go to the game - used my £20 wisely on F&C twice with curry sauce at Mattie's - and going by the reaction of those who attended I made the right decision. Crowds are going to dwindle drastically, as floaters like me will stay away in droves until we see some improvement and some wins.
