Whichever way you look at things now all we face is pressure. One thing is sure in football there are no guarantees, maybe the football gods are saying you’ve had all your luck time to get back where you belong.
For me the onus is now well and truly on the owners, do they take the risk of a new manager and players?

Remember Carlisle tried all these things last season at great expense but to no avail. They even had the benefit of a fantastic fan following even though times were bad.
I’m embarrassed to say that because we should be getting right behind the owners and players regardless of our position.

Sh!t or bust time I’m afraid because bad teams don’t get good overnight, if the owners do take the risk then we need quality to have a fighting chance and that includes manager and players.
Football is cruel but can anyone honestly say we don’t deserve to be where we are? the only momentum we have is downwards.
There we have it in a nutshell take the risk or suffer the consequences.

Why do you think Wild left ?
Wilds leaving is subject to an NDA so only those parties involved know and are bound by the NDA not to discuss it with anyone. As for Woods interference like has been said what's your evidence? Folk keep shouting out about him but it's only ever words no actual evidence to back it up. He is just being used as a scapegoat IMO. and quite frankly it's tiresome and boring.
Yeh totally agree..

We all know the issue and it's on the pitch.. the defence can conceded as much as they like so long as the attackers are score more and that is the be all and end all..

Clear in the last two or three games, we can get close enough but we struggle with the vinegar stroke!!!
It's not all doom and gloom, it's not as if we are in Easter with limited games left.. we have a whole half season to get this right, so keep the faith, we know we can get out this rut.

Right, so you don't have any. OK.
As for why Pete Wild left, I have no idea that's why I don't throw around, er, 'wild' accusations.
Don't let the old man in.

Time to change up the defence for me, bring Canavan back in and Jackson for the next match and drop Raglan and Shipley. Williams wasn’t at his best yesterday either but can’t drop them all and I’d take him over Raglan.
As much as our forwards have been criticised over recent weeks, some of the goals we’ve conceded have been horrendous. We keep a clean sheet and we’ve a chance with the attacking players as there are goals in us. We keep conceding two each match and it’s hard to get anything.
I don’t think we can play a 4 at the back as we simply haven’t the players unless it was to be Shipley and Jackson as full backs. Even then I’m not so sure that the goals are really down to the system, more people making mistakes and not doing their jobs.

Right sided defender and another centre back in January are a priority as much as another centre forward though to me. Whitfield and Barkhuizen can supply from out wide and that’s where they need to be not penned back as wingbacks.

Did you actually watch the game last night?, Raglan was the only defender who actually did o.k. last night, so you also want to play Jackson in a back 3 when he's struggled there are you for real?

Yesterdays teams Cheltenham wanted it more .
We lack physicality .
We could have played St Mary's nuns and they would push us off the ball.
We just are not physical enough.
The majority of defenders in their team were a foot taller and we kept pumping the ball in the air and being out jumped.
We had I think 7 corners in 10 minutes and I think we only took one short corner so they won the high balls.

Just listened to Graham Alexanders interview .
Bradford are 2nd in the league.
Andy Cook played part of a game midweek.
I think he could be on the way out.
We should make a approach for Cook even just a loan .
I think Gordon and him would work well.
Just a thought not sure how he will fair after the injury he got at out place but worth a punt.
That will be down to the next Manager.
Another thing how long do we have Gordon for now we sacked Whing and it was his mate at Walsall who loaned him could he recall him out of spite

That’s not really evidence is it? It’s just you saying something.

It’s been done to death but these forwards we have, I’m baffled as to how we’ve been conned into signing them on! Apart from JG the other three are all are injury prone, Hemmings spent more time flapping his arms around giving other players evil looks than doing what he’s meant to last night. Cameron jogged into the pitch like he’d just played 80 minutes. Walker, well….even when fit he looks either disinterested or totally out of his depth.

Three wages right there just being wasted, and they won’t come cheap.

Have we ever had such a poor & ineffective forward line??
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

O Spirit of Christmas Present - what wisdom! l was thinking of posting similar sentiments myself. I don’t usually like to call players out but when you think they are just ripping off the club you have to call it as you see it. They are probably poisoning the squad to boot - got to go en masse, we’d be better off playing 10 men who actually give a [SwearFilter]!
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

+ One to all of this, we may as well have kept Aquah at least he’d score the odd goal or two.

He’s cost us far too many goals this season Raglan, too many mistakes and doesnt lead organise at all as a player of his experience should. Jackson is a better defender to me and has a decent cross on him, more suited at full back yes but the only option would be to play him on the right now and Shipley at left back but the I’m not convinced about him either - was hopelessly caught out for their first last night.

Our issue with three at the back is not having natural wing backs to play the role.

Struggle to think of one, and it’s not as if it wasn't known about last summer. Don’t forget bringing Gordon in was a late deal.
If Andy Cook is going to struggle to get back into the Bradford side and he is available even on loan in Jan I hope we are in there. He may be 35 but it would be a worthwhile punt. He’d be a lot more of a threat at corners for a start.

The 3 at the back have to be balanced Canavan is now too slow to play this system, Raglan actually plays better when he's not playing!, we miss Foley there ( but he has only got this season) Williams should be sitting in front of a back 4 ,Not in a back 3 as he has no pace to cover, so even with Wingbacks it won't work, we haven't the players to make this system work, people should have worked this out by now 5 wins enough said!

I don’t think he’s actually got any slower since he came though Canavan he was never fast, just a bit more injury prone perhaps.
It’s our shape at the back and line that lets us down we’re all over the place at time, people can run through and we don’t pick them up. when we had Chester Ray and Canavan there in our best season two years ago, they were all pedestrian but were disciplined and knew when to push up, and when to drop. Pace isn’t an issue if your line is right and that’s something that macdonald or the new manager needs to drill into them, how to hold a line and defend.
Hold the line and play to the whistle none of this stop and stand with an arm in the air nonsense that a couple are guilty of.

However, if they are being played as wingers you have to play 4-4-2 not with 3 at the back as we did particularly as none of the 3 are quick and and Shipley is error prone. That is a managerial error. Granted we don't have a decent back 4 but, at least, by playing a back 4 we have a couple of defenders who should be somewhere near the opposition wide players and able to stop some of the crosses coming in.
We adopted 4-4-2 for the first 20 minutes against Gillingham and got ripped to shreds. Reverting to 3-5-2 (credit to Neil McDonald for that) we got a foothold in the game and got the draw.
Well you can't play 3-5-2 with Whitfield and Barkhuizen as wing-backs because they can't defend but without them we don't have an attack!
