Next 3 home games are crucial
Re: Next 3 home games are crucial
I just hope and pray that the people who do attend tomorrow get behind the team.
Am a bit gutted really - bumped into three people today while going about my business, who in the past were almost a certainty to be at the game when saturday comes.
Not so now, each one of them said they had seen enough.

I’m hearing exactly the same from people myself. It’s like many have given up on them and are fed up of watching rinse and repeat.mall wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 6:11 pm I just hope and pray that the people who do attend tomorrow get behind the team.

I think it’s just one of the most unlikeable squad of players we’ve ever assembled, no characters, no fight ,no leaders no nothing. There’s been no high points in the season it’s just been awful from the get go. Before we’ve always lads that may have lacked some quality but had a bit of bottle and personality. We do really need to get behind the team as it’s all about survival. 90% of these will be off in pre season and I’ll be glad to see the back of em all! But we need to make sure we’re still in this leagueApril1972 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 6:23 pmI’m hearing exactly the same from people myself. Out of the 29 players listed as being attached to the club only 6 are out of contract and four are players we have loaned from other clubs . The vast majority are contracted until summer 2027 so unless we pay there contracts up or somebody pays a fee for them ( unlikely for the vast majority) most of the squad could be here still next season . We lost a lot last season and this season was the start of another two year cycle with all the signings we made.Barrowvianbedlam wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 7:54 pm

If we are relegated I think you might find that a lot of them will want to stay in the EFL - if anyone will have them!Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 8:06 pmOut of the 29 players listed as being attached to the club only 6 are out of contract and four are players we have loaned from other clubs . It could also be that the contracts have a get-out clause that they can be terminated if we are relegated.
Re: Next 3 home games are crucial
Who realistically would get another league club out of this squad if we do go down?
On this seasons form you’d say Stanway, McCann, Whitfield, Rose...a couple others maybe on reputation but have been injured a lot Fletcher and Williams.
Unfortunately there are too many not good enough and or just not shown enough and I’d not be sorry to see anyone leave bar the four above.

Unfortunately most will get a decent move. The quality is there but the mentality is disgracefulMain Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 8:06 pmOut of the 29 players listed as being attached to the club only 6 are out of contract and four are players we have loaned from other clubs . Having just watched Harrogate they’ve definitely turned a corner. Have to win tomorrow and get some points from our next 4 games. Would really knock their confidence with our games in hand and goal difference.

Agree they played their hearts out and were very unlucky not to win. We have to match their effort and fight if we’re to survive.Barrowvianbedlam wrote: ↑Fri Feb 27, 2026 9:41 pm Having just watched Harrogate they’ve definitely turned a corner. Take note Barrow Harrogate played not for 30, not 45, not 60 but 94 minutes. Every single one of ‘em and that’s what we’re competing against.
