Don’t think tonight’s the night to rip into any of them they showed a bit of bottle tonight. Yes it’s frustrating to concede again but in isolation that wasn’t a bad result tonightGazza wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:15 pmNot sure about not putting a foot wrong! Yep he did ok first half but he always looks like he’s in quick sand after an hour and I was just waiting for him to trip someone in the area in that last 10 mins.Barrowvianbedlam wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:09 pm

To be fair, whatever else their faults, I don't think I've heard the players blaming anybody.Methuselah wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 9:48 pmWell looks like I tempted fate.I just hope if we mange to survive this season, there is a mass clear out and a total reorganisation. The recruitment this season has been terrible. The players need to man up They have blamed anyone but themselves.Methuselah wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 9:18 pm Let,s just hope they don,t bottle I know I,m being sceptical but having seen.it happen numerous times I,m going to hold any praise back until the end.

It has to be down to confidence and mentality, knowing it’s happened so often will lead to panic. Opposition will see our game stats and know they’ll get late chancesMark Johnson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:03 pmShocking stat that. Getting mentally and physically tired as well as retreating far too deep as the game goes on.MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:00 pm
25% of goals conceded have come in the final 10 minutes I think Adam said.
There must be some data and insight from within the club as to why this is happening

Positive - we are out the bottom two, it’s a point I’d have took at kick off and we’ve had Foley getting some minutes along with MacDonald bringing much needed experience and leadership

Just hope the players realise how vital it is to us on here, and to the many more who aren't, that they play out of their skins until the last game in May.

100% next 12 games shapes the future direction for the club. It really is that crucial. There’s no sugar Daddy waiting to bankroll us. Survive this season and I think we’ll learn massively from it and it will be a positive turning point…. Go down, I dread to think. As fans we have to stay positive and every game stick with it, park off the frustrations as hard as that is.Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:27 pm Just hope the players realise how vital it is to us on here, and to the many more who aren't, that they play out of their skins until the last game in May.

After being at Fleetwood it feels a good but at the same time frustrating point. Nevertheless a point is a point. I really hope the Barrow public turn up on Tuesday night as I bet Bristol will bring a fair few. I'm not convinced the Barrow people will turn up in numbers but it will be a pleasant surprise if they do. Hope Barrow fans are loud though - it is Steve Evans and his merry men turning up after all.
Re: Cheltenham (A)
A strange game, we could’ve won it maybe should but also could’ve lost it. Poor start too slow and ponderous and conceded a poor goal from another right side attack. Cheltenham weren’t great but looked a lot more composed until we equalised and then the momentum changed to us. After a slow start to the second half we carried on and grew in confidence and got ahead after a great run from Barkhuizen - see what he can do further forwards. Almost went 3-1 up for a good save from Day off a header towards the bottom corner but you always fear the worst. We tired, retreated deeper and deeper and as legs went we disnt have the quality on the bench to come on and shore it up. Thompson just worries you whenever he plays and Earing just doesn’t do enough. We don’t have the strength in depth and I did question the subs but when there’s people tiring and you need more energy and don’t have the quality on the bench to do it then it’s hard. Can’t really fault anyone for effort but quality at times and that mental block again has cost us. All these late goals will surely come back to haunt us…
McCann MOM outstanding for me unlucky not to score and Harper aside from letting a ball bounce towards the end was also good I thought, just needs to be more aggressive sometimes and he does look leggy…needs Smith and Williams back to give us something else in there. Haf we lost tonight I’d say it was over but there was hope in that performance but we are reliant on getting some of the inured players back and fast. This team as it is just isn’t good enough.

It feels like whoever is injured would be the answer because we're clutching at straws. Smith has been inconsistent. Ben Whitfield has been a great servant but is back because he's not the player he was. Williams maybe is a differential but when will he be back, might be too late.Scott5 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:24 pm A strange game, we could’ve won it maybe should but also could’ve lost it. Smith was starting to show a bit of form after a terrible first few months before he got injured, and Whitfield with his running at defenders can be a real threat as was Barkhuizen tonight. Foley coming back is a big boost and Williams will be too but maybe too late as you say. H Anderson coming back is big he was very impressive tonight and carried the ball well.StephenD wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:33 pmIt feels like whoever is injured would be the answer because we're clutching at straws. Raglan and J Anderson sorry to say are no loss for me neither are good enough same for Hemmings and Walker as well. No Mahoney involved tonight was he another injury? or just finally been dropped for being totally ineffective and a waste of a shirt?

Agree with that smith was a decent guard in front of the defence. Absolute travesty how deep we’ve deployed barkhuizen this season he’s such a threat when he’s running at people

Agree re Barky, Newby also a major threat if played as a forward that said I think Newbs is best utilised as an impact player rather than a starter.Barrowvianbedlam wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:50 amScott5 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:38 pm
