Newport County (H) Pobably the last time in the EFL

For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

Heard a rumour Stanway not starting today
About time winterbottom got a run out, id be stunned if hes not our number 1 gk next season. Thats if he doesn't decide to go elsewhere, which i wouldn't blame him for.

Training facilities need changing ASAP, not playing on grass clearly hasnt helped this year. There was a rumour a while back about moving to preston but not sure if its the usual nonsense that gets banded around socials.
Isn't there plans to move training to PNE ?

Set up by Iain Wood by all accounts.

As things stand if Newport score, Harrogate will go down with Barrow.

So please, take that on board when you put on the shirt of our club.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Barrafan - really puts things in perspective.
Thanks John. It was more about perspective than owt else . But appreciate your kind words. Thank you.

Barkhuizen hasn’t been seen for a few weeks? Possibly Shipley too?!
Powell
No-one had the goalkeeper. Roll over till next season when hopefully we’ll have a manager

I hope we have a manager this week! As long as he's not been chosen by Wood.

Didn’t Evatt manage a lot of the scouting? Wood had this “Barrow index”, presume it’s just some excel spreadsheet with a column ticked for “lacks character” “history of injury”
We need the character types of Connor Brown, Quigley, John Rooney, who both could score worldies even Josh Kay fought for the shirt.
I feel like perfect storms are a once in a generation thing but hope I’m proven wrong.
Hopefully Barrow rising have some kind of involvement, doubt they can get involved in terms of squad funding though.

Be interesting to see what Barrow Rising actually does, apart from being a Quango. Nobody seems to know.

They haven't got enough money to sort the Forum and Market out let alone anything else.
We will follow the soccer, over land and sea...
