Well written and balanced.
We fail to go up this season we only have ourselves to blame.
Promotion is a must .
I don't agree with that statement at all. There are 23 other teams in the NL some of which will have far bigger budgets than us. If we approach the season believing we have a God-given right to go back up we're doomed - Carlisle? We have a new manager and a squad rebuild to swallow. We've already seen how few reams make an immediate return.
A foregone conclusion it ain't.
Don't let the old man in.

Until they change to 3 up 3 down it's goto be very difficult to get out i feel as you have to win the league to guarantee promotion it's the most difficult league to get out id say not like efl where 2 or 3 go up automatic from the squad we have im goto say top half id like to think play offs but from our signings and squad id say no as other teams seem to have made stronger signings than us also upto now

No idea what “if we fail to go up…we only have ourselves to blame” means. Empty rhetoric without any idea of what’s required to succeed in a very tough NL.

Simple it's in our hands .
No idea? just need to have a decent squad and a plan.
Last season even before we were in the relegation zone you could see we were in free fall.
It's about getting your structure right.
We managed under Evatt because we were so organised .
Did not have a massive squad or plenty of decent forwards other than Quigley.
Carlisle have proved money does not get you promotion.
.By failing to prepare you are preparing
to fail.

We will be seeing who we can get rid of (EFL transfer window opens today) from the contracted players first. No point signing loads of players then your stuck still paying those that really you don’t want to be here as well

Massive couple of weeks coming up.
2 gone so far with potentially a few more leaving then its who we bring in.
Few clubs getting players in esp Hartlepool who look like there up for a title challenge. Hopefully the new manager has some good players ready to sign up.

I imagine it's a financial balancing act at the moment, having to get rid of some high wage-earners, before we can take on many more players. Glad to see that we now are signing some up for a year, rather than three.

Should the club have done that with Fletcher when he signed?
