We’ve played one game - same old story season after season lose a game it doom and gloom win a game we are going to storm the league. Win a game all the players are going to leave for better clubs lose the players are useless cunts and they can [SwearFilter] off

The engine room of the team IE the midfield was not to dissimilar to last season when we got relegated MJ, Smith and Harper then to play Cameron up front!!!!! Well that really was a head scratcher

Got to give it chance to mesh, recruitment ain’t finished yet and there will be comings and goings throughout the season until AM gets the team balance right and playing consistently together.
Think we need to win half of our first dozen fixtures or the pressure will start to mount though.
I’m still hopefully optimistic of a top five finish just need to show patience.

Win next week and all of this will be forgotten. Cameron is not and never will be the striker we need, that’s obvious. Yes, we are still in need of a striker, but losing 2-0 away to what will likely be one of the best teams in the league is not the absolute catastrophe that many on here seem to think it is. Am I not right in thinking we actually lost our opening two games the season we won the league?

Let’s see where we are in 10-12 games time. Let’s not forget that early doors under Clemence, we were near the top of the league. Look how that turned out.

I thought we more than matched Hartlepool in what was a frantic opening game. They took their chances in front of goal and we didn’t . I’m sure the new manager will get us going and winning games soon . Looking back at the league table early on in our promotion season we were 21st at the end of August with only 7 points from 9 games. Have a little patience …… we will have a good season

Early days yes and no one is daft enough to call for heads at this point but, by the same token we could see the deficiencies last season and nothing was done about it. We’re short upfront and in midfield still that’s as clear as day and the club are working on that. I just think we’re hindered by some players being here feom last season who ideally would be gone, freeing up their wages for new players.
There’s a lot of new players and some new to this level so it’s a big step up and the longer you go on without picking up results the harder it gets. Particularly on the back of a relegation when the place is already a bit flat. Let’s see 9/10 games in where we are but we need to be a lot better than we were on Saturday.

I agree 100%. The bit I don’t get though is that on Saturday both Marriot and Reid two new signings were on the bench replaced by players who ultimately failed last season and should not have been anywhere near Saturdays starting eleven imo
