Hmmm - a 'proven goalscorer' who hasn't scored recently? Twin signings of Josh Gordon and Cole Stockton in the summer haven't been a great success.

I see that Burton have just signed a young Striker on loan from Man U.

Seems like Stockton has mostly been out injured this season

Not sure Nixon is one of the most reliable sources. Gets his info from the bread isle instead of the butchers where there’s more meat on the bone. Burton play tonight in a tasty Derby for those a little bored.

My comment was more sceptical about the probability of the report rather than the quality of the player.

Nixon gets spoon fed info by football agents so yes he does get things right however he does get things wrong too simply because the agent will leak a players name - throw a random club into the mix just to alert the attention of clubs who may be interested to force their arm and ultimately earn both themselves and their client an extra few bob.

Not saying there’s no truth in this but don’t get the welcome mat and the banners out just yet

Harrison Neal couldn`t get into a good Stevenage side, Stockton again not in Burton`s squad tonight why aren`t picking him must be some reason.

Because sometimes things don’t work out for players at a certain club, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a bad player just means that the face doesn’t fit with that manager and their style.

Perhaps because he’s leaving?

Some predicable negative crap on here as usual.

Some of the talent we've managed to get through the door here is unreal. If we sign Stockton we will go up, he was hot properly at morecambe, who blocked lots of moves for him. Dom Telford and him together would be great. Sadly its the there must be something wrong with him if he's signing for Barrow mentality again.

We are writing off players before they have even kicked a ball.

It’s being reported that the clubs have reached a deal and that it’s now up to Stockton to decide whether he wants to accept it.
