Indeed, numerous stewards/police/fans will have been explicitly within earshot of any alleged comment yet so far appear to have heard nothing, whereas a player who I think its important to point out had taken alot of general stick from barrow fans due to his horrible play acting and actions on the pitch, supposedly hears something with such crystal clear definition that he can be certain enough what was said warrants a complaint.

All too easy for the race card to be thrown and a club to be dragged through the mud IMO, as Reg says whatever the outcome the club will now have its name tarnished before a single shred of evidence has come out one way or the other, especially with the Suarez/Terry/Serbia incidents and racism being a major buzzword for the hypocritical sensationalist media we're so lucky to have.

I dint condone any racist behaviour whether your black, white, pink or blue and last night I dont believe for one minute that any racist comment was made at all? Yes the crowed were incensed by the behaviour of the Macc players for cheating and also for the Ref for falling for the antics.

I hope we hammer them in the replay, i hope we play like we did last night and let our football do the talking and put this pathetic episode to bed.

I also find it very strange that the player didn't want to take it further, point the culprit out or anything.

Maybe a rush of blood to say he heard it, as Racism is big news in football over the past few months. He knew it would have caused a stir and made headlines.

Seems to have quickly covered his tracks though, saying he doesnt want to pursue with it.

I was stood about 30 feet from the tunnel when the players came out and I did not hear any racist insults. This does not mean that there weren't any, but in most public places such appalling behaviour not only stands out from background noise, but is also reacted to by the surrounding people.

During the game, several of their black players fell about and cheated in an embarrassing way and were roundly and individually booed for it..

Several of their white players acted in the same way and were also individually booed . This is what happens at football matches.

It is such a shame that I woke up to radio cumbria this morning accusing us of racism - it is one man's word against (several) others and in any other
criminal case it would be libel to accuse others in this way before any facts had been proved.

Also, at the end of the game those of us stood near the tunnel were told to move two feet to the left by stewards to quote 'stop there being racism'. To their credit, several of the crowd stood their ground. It is idiotic statement and actions like this by club officials that can undermine a fan's respect for the club.

Shame really because the team did really well and I hope we can prove a point about the 'proper' way to play football in the Replay.

Older posters might remember a group from Macclesfield called the Macc Lads. They were racists I would say, and homophobic to boot. Therefore everybody from Macclesfield must be racist and homophobic – is that right? Is that how it works?

Youngsters might want to check out the Macc Lads songbook; particularly ‘Frogbashing’, ‘Germans’ and ‘Buenos Aries’ to get the gist.

I'm quite surprised that no-one from Macclesfield has voiced their opinion on this forum yet, which is usually the case.

It's ridiculous for the media and Macclesfield to try to tranish the reputation of the club in this way. If there are 1500 or so people in the ground and one idiot shouts a racist remark, how are the club culpable? Only if the stewards or others in the crowd hear it and fail to take action. The only ones who seem to have heard it are the player and his manager. Strange that.
