No amount of posts on here from me or anyone else will change the minds of those who want to think that every Macc fan and the club are what you say we are. I don't go on our board because it's full of ill-informed comments, so I'll leave you in peace now to express the views you feel you have to. Whatever your opinions let's at least hope all this stuff is resolved soon and leaves us all to have a more positive new year.
Pete.

Not going to get involved in the whole who said/did what debate because like 99.99% people I don't actually know. What is sickening is the way the whole club and fans are being tarnished by media kangaroo courts much as in the James Cotterill affair.I was staggered to pick up my morning paper today to find a relatively substantial report on Saturdays game or should I say the unsavoury incidents surrounding the goals etc.. This from a paper that rarely mentions NL footbal and quite often doesn't even carry the results !

The first time Jaffa Cake was used to my knowledge was when Rio Ferdinand called Ashley Cole a "Jaffa Cake" Meaning Black on the outside White inside, the FA took no action and Cole laughed it off.

That was choc ice. It's okay to be 'racist' but only if your black.

all getting a bit stupid now.
"Supporters from Cumbria yesterday flooded their forums with accusations that an English Defence League banner was on display at Moss Rose on Saturday and say that Brown went over to that section of the ground to acknowledge home supporters"
hardly accusations, it was there for all to see.

Daily Mail wrote:They also complained that the public announcer was being deliberately provocative by hailing former Barrow trialist John Paul Kissock as the ‘non-League Messi’ after he scored.
Who has made an issue of this?? No one as far as I know.
It was said but I found it more laughable and embarrassing than anything else, certainly not something to take offence to.

There's only one person to blame for all this and it is that joke of a referee that called the game off after both teams were willing to play the first time we tried to get this game on.
I'm sure that if the game was played on that Saturday then none of the circus that has followed in the following weeks would have occured.

Byrne was long gone before this new incident, he returned to his parent club about the time of the first Macc game. Although technically our player at the time of that first game, he was not included in the match day squad. We only had 5 of the allowed 7 subs for the 1st game, same as the replay. As mentioned we have 3 players that are Welsh, Owen along with Shaun and Mike Pearson.

You might want to check the expiry date on those Jaffa cakes of yours

If you and other genuine Macclesfield supporters asked for it to be taken down on the grounds that it was provocative, racially or otherwise, then surely the police could regard it as an action liable to lead to a breach of the peace and demand that it be taken down on those grounds?
Anyway, all these racism allegations are really getting out of hand. If anything was said or done by players or supporters from either side, and there is hard evidence to prove it, then those involved should be dealt with appropriately, hopefully well before we meet later in the season in the BSP; there is no place in football, or society for that matter, for this.
Finally, and as no-one else seems to have said it, good luck against Cardiff.
