Such a discrepancy could explain why the Woking Man of the Match was announced as no. 22 when in reality it was no. 11.

As regards the match he thought it was ‘terrible’ with a draw being a reasonable result. He agreed that Norman should have been booked sooner but that the incident that got him booked didn’t deserve a card so it evened out.
I wondered what was going on with all the delays in addition to the poor old linesman being knocked out. However, other than getting fed up with the referee for what I thought was wasting too much time, I thought he was excellent in almost all decisions during the match and certainly wasn't a "homer" by any stretch of the imagination. He did get one completely wrong quite late in the second half when Jordan Williams played an attempted cross onto a defender and he somehow gave a goal kick but other than that I thought he did little wrong.

BTW Slightly off topic but regarding BBC match reports. I've just noticed that we hardly ever get interviews or the like up on the BBC site, it is almost always the opposition making comments. In fact I've just checked, not one single match report on the BBC site has a single quote or interview from Barrow this season. If someone is quoted or interviewed it is only the opposition manager, Cheltenham, Grimsby, Wrexham, Lincoln, Woking, FGR and the like. Cox gets a very brief mention in his first game in charge, before going on to quote the Woking managers view. Nothing this time out, not even a mention but the Woking manager gets audio interview and is also quoted.

We get great coverage locally from BBC RC compared to other national league sides, but nationally on the BBC we rarely get a look in. Doesn't help with the broader promotion of the club if all you get to hear is what other people say about us, especially when they are not exactly glowing reports. Outside of Cumbria I'm not sure anyone knows we exist, apart from a statistic on the National League table.

I think K_BFC has something there, we do have a negative profile, and everyone has a go at us without reply. Recently we saw well publicised comments from some Lincoln gobsheight when we had the temerity to put in bid for one of their semi-retired shire horses.

I also go on the Conference website a bit and have never seen a Barrow story feature on their home page yet. Remember also the TV air time Macclesfield’s manager was given a while back to tell the world he heard monkey chanting at Holker St; a bare faced lie broadcast by the BBC among others.

I have a theory; the media - particularly the BBC is populated with lefties who don’t like Barrow because we provide the nuclear deterrent which they are traditionally opposed to. Any opportunity they get to make us look / sound bad they will take it. I wonder what the club's Press Officer makes of it all?

Just seen highlights on Woking site and looks like we could have got lucky with the off side goal and possible penalty shout for holding by Symmington. Good point, 3 needed Tuesday now

Most news organisations are lazy - if you feed them stories they print them / broadcast them. I know we have a local press officer (Who writes reports for the Non league paper) and national press officer (who writes the programme) - I get them impression that the local paper go straight to the manager/ chairman / players etc. We don't have regular press conferences like other clubs in this league - another area where the club need to be more proactive - the club with regard to all those things need a strategy.

No, but the - sometimes now videoed by the club - interview by BBCRC after the match is witnessed by other media outlets who, after it is broadcast or 'in the can', can ask additional questions of their own. Often this is how items are drip-fed during the week into sports bulletins or back page articles when there is no actual news that day. Midweek, a quick phone call to the manager or a player can supplement this with the basis of an article.

If a news conference was held at Lancaster after training one day each week it is unlikely that anyone from BBCRC, NWEM or The Bay would deem it worthwhile to take half a day out of their other duties to attend in the normal course of events. When training moves to Barrow, however...

I don't think journalists are any more lazy than any other trade or profession but they often are happy to make use of information provided to them. Who wouldn't appreciate a bit of extra support at work?

Official highlights even show a replay of the assistent ref getting flattened. No show of Cowps going off. Nice to compare it with the previously posted Woking highlights, gives us that didn't go a better sense of what happened.

Good away point at a decent side, shame we didn't get all 3.

Away form in the league has improved, only lost 1 in last 5, over 4 losses in the previous 5. Need to get some of these postponed home games played and improve the situation.
