And Connor Brown good lads, but that won`t get us many results.

He is our best option in that role. He plays with total commitment. There was one challenge he put in tonight in our 6 yard area - first half, where he showed the watching others what you need to do to stop the ball coming across the goal mouth.

We’ve witnessed some bad performances this season but that was up there amongst the worst. Apart from five minutes either side of a wonderful Rooney goal we were absolutely terrible. The basic mistakes in defence are unforgivable at this level, or even below. Our two most creative players were reduced to dropping deeper & deeper or actually being totally by-passed.
All the optimism after two decent performances has just gone out of the window, and we’re right back in a scrap.

Noticed I hadn't seen any Cooper out posts from you for a while, so checked and strangely enough you hadn't been seen on here since 8pm on the night of the Northampton game. Must be boring when you're only interested when we lose.

As for the game, Taylor in midfield and Brown at the back works occasionally but mustn't be used as a long term solution. Time to start with a clean slate and play our best players in their best positions, none of those that have filled in recently have justified continued selection tonight.

The most frustrating part about it for me is that you can take these away losses if you were reasonable at home, which we definitely aren't. Big game Saturday, three points really needed otherwise it becomes a winless run again.

Defence just backing off all the time. Three onto 1 man and give him plenty of room to shoot It’s a joke.e

We see it every week, sometimes we get away with it. Other times like tonight we get punished. Its why we are where we are.

Sometimes we get away with it exactly the problem. We don’t defend well at other times but as said above we ‘get away with it’. Not good enough all over the pitch and I don’t just mean tonight.

Nail on head Ian. Not taking away the fact they were well taken goals but if you give players time on the ball you are asking for trouble.
So what does Cooper do? undo everything again to try and stop it? or do you work on those errors as a team and fix them. Don’t forget why he changed it in the first place 2 games ago

The Connor Brown,Jason Taylor although great servants wasnt an Experiment it was an act of Desperation Jason was great at NORTHAMPTON a warrior but 1 game was enough,same as Connor it was all there to be seen tonight and i felt sad for them..

Sorry but tonight we were abysmal.Apart from John Rooney's wonder strike we couldn,t finish anything off.Twice our players had the ball and had it stuck between their legs.That is schoolboy football.I and a lot of other people pay good money to watch Barrow AFC and it,s about time our team learnt how to score goals,instead of fluffiing every chance that comes their way.Unless there is a massive change in the way we play I can,t see us beating Stevenage on Saturday.
Yes we do play a reasonable passing game,but it is no good if you don,t end up with the end result,namely a goal.
Our defence is virtually non existent and most teams now know this when you see the amount of times they get behind it.
Mark Cooper should know by now what his best team should be.The club have allowed him to bring in the kind of players he asked for,so I for one need to see a massive improvement,otherwise we could be looking at losing our hard fought promotion into the EFL.

Nah fella, I haven't changed my Cooper out feelings for the last few months. I really hate to say it every game and like to give you a little bit of a rest from the truth. Finding myself wishing it was different but the guy isn't IT for me. Even on the sidelines it's his assistant that looks the more interested of the two (through his yelling out instructions and motivating the players).

Anyways I'm clocking out for the evening. Make sure to clock my last login...

Before I go...bless his cotton socks. The Wakeling lad. Why on earth did Cooper bring him in?!?! This is not the setting for a young kid to break himself into men's football. I'm well aware he's played at lower league level and that's what got him his move, but he's a million miles away from League Two standard. Inside of the posts, back to goal and he proceeds to half shank/backheel it two foot wide of the post when any other striker would've tried to roll the defender and get a shot off.

Come on, Send the kid back. He's not gonna learn squat from being here

Good post. As poor as we have been defensively lets not overlook the chance we had to go two up. We do fluff our lines in front of goal far too often. Holloway looks a yard off pace and not yet up to fitness but hoping he comes good. We are missing the workrate of Josh Gordon and we will improve when he gets back.

We've planned for next season already. Luke James one year deal. Scored zero goals this year, striker. Cant wait for the same in 2023.
