I sign for Norwich City I want to live there.
Not train in London.
I sign for Barrow I want to live there not scummy Manchester(with respect) and have to make a horrendous journey every home game.
You sure this plan helps? Or hinders. Hinders i think.
It’s competitive signing players, they have options and if one of them involves having to move further from their home then that will be a negative factor. We’ve lost players only recently to be closer to home locations.
The analogy of contractors working at BAE doesn’t really work, unless those folk have loads of other submarine building firms nearer home bidding for them as well.
Moving training to barrow might not make a difference, but it would be an enormous unnecessary risk
