How did Gotts do in his first year at the club and how long did it take for him to be EFL 1 material? Some of the younger recruits have only had 8 games so far to get used to the demands of EFL2.

I think I heard the commentator on the extended highlights saying that Barrow had never won at Bristol Rovers. What about our FA Cup win 2-1 in 2016, with 'Lord' Byron Harrison scoring both goals?

The commentator will have just looked at league games. Adams the one to listen to for stats. A lot of those other so called commentators can only see one team.

I’m afraid Whingy does not inspire any confidence whatsoever. His fidgety demeanour continually repeating himself on interview, cannot be very inspiring for the players, not to mention how he sets this team up, and seemingly won’t change his approach, seems to leave the players wandering around like “Walking Football”. It’s so so bad definitely the worst disorganised Barrow team I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something.

People don't suddenly start doing bad jobs that previously they did well.
Cut them some slack, give it time. We know they can compete, just let's find the key to doing that more consistently.
Everyone of that trio had a good pedigree, weren't injury prone and might be wrong but not sure Wood brought them in !

Gotts came with Jordan Steven’s from Leeds when Cooper was manager before Iain Woods time, Kian Spence came from Halifax. He was out injured for the last few months at Halifax although Halifax fans questioned if he really was as they claimed he wanted away in January before signing for us in the summer. Wild.took him there iirc from Scarborough.Campbell was the only one of the three scouted by the recruitment team that includes Iain Wood. He had been at Stevenage on loan from Aberdeen and was released by them and signed for us
As an aside both Gotts and Spence have been injured this season and I’m unsure whether Spence has played for Rotherham at all this season
Just read Spence two apps this season

If we go down we will never get back up.
Need to set things now before it’s too late.
Starting with the keeper, he’s not good enough.
If we can’t score goals at least make it hard to stop conceding them, with a dodgy keeper we don’t have the safety at the back.
Nothing wrong with Steinway imo, made an excellent stop from a free kick, comes out well for corners. When times are bad seems like everyone’s heads on the chopping block, when they’re good we get 2 pages per thread.
I’d agree I was a bit worried about Farman leaving and would Stanway be up to it but from what I’ve seen he’s more than good enough and couldn’t be blamed yesterday. Made a great save from a free kick near the end and the first goal was by their players own admission a fluke, and the second a ball to the back post which Shipley didn’t deal with so not sure how any blame can be put on Stanway for that. He comes out and punches more than Farman ever did too which I like.

It’s those in front of him that are to blame we’ve conceded three almost identical goals now against MK dons, Fleetwood and Bristol yesterday.

I was a doubter of Stanway but he has proved to be up to it.
i like the fact he comes if his line quick ,with our slow defence it's a plus .
Farman made mistake and he had a better midfield and defense in front of him.
It seems because he is a local people like to criticise him.
Not fair .

Stanways the least of our worry’s. First goal was a fluke happens a couple times a year. Second goal was [SwearFilter] poor defending from barkhuizen letting him literally walk past him

Agreed, second goal Barkhuizen initially blocks him and then doesn't do enough to stop the cross from coming in he got something on it but it still got towards the back post and then their big lad Promise pinned Shipley and wanted the header more, and knocked it down for a simple finish to someone unmarked in the six yard box. It comes down to desire to want to stop the ball from going in, to put bodies on the line like Bristol did in the last few minutes. I'd also say though in defence of Barkhuizen and I keep saying it, but he's no more a wingback than Newby is. Both are light and not natural defenders, it's a specialist role and I'm still amazed we haven't got anyone for that role when that's the way we seem adamant to want to play.

How has Barkhuizen ended up being the defender there in that position. He's supposed to be the outlet if we get back possession.

Don't know why we signed Barkhuizen.
He's not a defender and we don't play wingers but he's playing at WB at every opportunity instead of further forward
