To put last night's win into perspective, Halifax in their last 11 games had won 7 drawn 3 lost 1 in all competitions before last nights game.
So to come back from 2-0 down was even more remarkable.

Watchrd them beat Arsenal on penalties.
We looked dead and buried .
Harper has improved or being managed better.
We will be playing Boreham Wood early December we need to beat them.
I still think we can win this league and that's what we need to do
You have to wonder why Winterbottom was not played more last season.
Boreham Wood is FA Cup 2nd Round Date.

Credit on a remarkable comeback. Gutting to have lost that. But football is a 90min game, and once you got a sniff after the first goal. Your quality improved and we were on the ropes. Innes and Lane making a big difference for you. Over a full 90mins did you deserve to win, probably not. But games aren't decided on balance of play.
Not trying to make excuses, but I felt that last 15 mins showed a team that only played 14 mins at home on Saturday, against a team that played a high intensity 90mins away at Southend.

People will knock your style of football, industrial as it is. But it's relentless and you do it well. Dont think Alex Reid is the right sort of player for it though.

Gutting to lose, but I know we're a decent side, that's extremely young. We definitely showed a naivety in that last 30mins and you exploited it extremely well. All the best for the rest of the season.

I don't think the Halifax manager's assessment of our football does justice to the way we played in the last 20 minutes:

"It was two massively contrasting styles of football, one team that lumps it long, narrows you up and hits the big man, our style is to be expansive and play, and they affected their game plan more than we affected ours second-half."

Do you scour the match threads after the game looking to correct throw away comments. Go and enjoy the goals in the highlights
No. It just seemed an odd comment about Reid given it was the closest we came to scoring in the first half.
The constant negativity about players posted on this forum does irk me slightly and I’m always happy to provide some balance.
Everyone provides balance over the course of the game. Same at the match. What about your own views on the first half? Reid wasn’t at the races, but he wasn’t the only one and I don’t think anyone was surprised he was subbed..( or any one at HT)..Yes, even with his overhead kick which you pointed out. So yes, a good switch by Murray. Just put it into the overall context of the thread instead of correcting it. What’s odd is going back to it and picking it out. If it irks you, well there’s not much can be done about that is there. There’s a block button you could use

Where’s Kenny Digie been last few games not seen his absence mentioned anywhere? Hopefully back soon

So, Mark, are you suggesting it was bit Laurel and Hardy to begin with, before a fine mess became an unforgettable miracle?
😅I was merely pointing out that it was a lovely night for a Big Innes but two is worth savouring and just reward for the hardy souls that made the journey on a Tuesday night. 🍻
Hmmm, hmmm, Now that’s another fine mess you’ve gotten me into PJ.

BTW, what a fine pitch Halifax have these days👌

Not sure why you’ve got such a bee in your bonnet about this. You put a post on a public forum saying Reid had barely had a touch. I replied saying he had come closest to scoring.
Surely, if you post on a public forum, people can offer a different perspective and post that.
As for my opinion on first half, I’ve put that elsewhere on this thread.

I thought the Halifax Courier gave a decent summing up here https://www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/sport/ ... ay-9313100

Thanks spot on.
I must say the two locals covering the game on TV were like Adam our commentator very honest and good.
Good luck for the rest of the season I remember you beating Man City in the cup in 1980 1-0 at the shay aided by the waterlogged pitch
