It was always going to be a loan deal in January as we didn’t have money for paying transfer fees it was literally playing a balancing act to fund wages

Re: Players we might be interested in....
If may put my sixpeneth worth in,I think this deal works for both clubs. If he doesn,t regain his form we only have him until the end of the season. If he does his status in the transfer market is increased.
Having said that,if he likes playing in the Barrow set up he will have a lot of influnce in which team he goes to.If Burton Albion have a lot of offers coming in for him at the end of the season because he has rediscovered his form with Barrow,he will have the final say in which club he goes to.
As he has not played many matches for them he obviously wants to go to a club where he is a first team regular. If Burton try to send him to a club where he is going to sit on the bench I think he would just refuse to go,so this deal may end up working in Barrow's favour.
Thoughts please.

A quick question for Adam.As you have a far more superior football knowledge than me,if by some miracle we manage to get promoted, would we then have the money to bid for Cole?Do we actually get a lot of money for being promoted?

Don’t know what the prize split is
Suppose it will boil down on what burton’s transfer value of him is and at the same time if he goes and scores a hatful to win us promotion who else comes along to the party to try and sign him.
A bridge to cross when/if it comes
Let’s just enjoy him while he’s here for the next 6months at least

Full marks to that journalist Nixon who broke the story of Cole’s signing days ago some people on here don’t seem to like him but he’s certainly in the know.

If you get promotion you get £1.5 million in division one up from £1 million in division 2 so in terms of extra revenue it’s not a lot when you factor in the higher wage demands from league one playersMethuselah wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 9:11 pm A quick question for Adam.As you have a far more superior football knowledge than me,if by some miracle we manage to get promoted, would we then have the money to bid for Cole?Do we actually get a lot of money for being promoted?

So would you if you had agents ringing you up every 10seconds to tell you someone has shown interest in their clientFanzoneFan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 10:16 pm Full marks to that journalist Nixon who broke the story of Cole’s signing days ago some people on here don’t seem to like him but he’s certainly in the know.
He doesn’t possess a crystal ball
He doesn’t see into the future
He’s just a mouthpiece for agents

Think it’s a tremendous signing, particularly when considering the touted competition.
Having watched his YouTube reel, he looks incredibly capable - maybe current form and fitness are factors for us, but no doubt considered before we went for him.
There’s no guarantee he’ll be playing all the time. Acquah, Telford, Proctor and Whitfield are all excellent, but his addition is undeniably exciting.
Can’t wait to see him play.
