Not sure to be honest, I believe they're out of administration so they may well have settled most or all of their creditors partially or in full, i'm just being a bit mischievous ;)
I believe that wasn't far off the deal they came out of administration with.

So a year ago they owed the best part of £9 million.

Now given there were companies who had a hold over them and will have demanded an almost immediate full repayment [ i know they had to settle in full with the company who had padlocked their training ground ] like the electricity supplier etc and the football creditors of course, the first money they had available will have gone towards paying those creditors and probably just as they were starting to get on an even keel and making small but regular payments to those that have shown them forbearance the pandemic will have struck throwing it all into chaos again and if you were one of those companies willing to throw them a bit of slack in those circumstances you will almost certainly be changing your minds when you realise that rather than bring their accounts up to date they're about to spunk 250k on buying out the contract of a non-league manager.

we will get evatt no matter what. he wants to come, his agents already set it up the deal just needs to be agreed. good luck in your new season barrow except when you play us.
Excuse me maybe you'd like to show us this evidence you have that says he wants to join your club.

I.m pretty sure that 90% of this is an agent who sees an opportunity to make himself a few quid He's the one who will have met with your board and he's the one running round in ever-decreasing circles as he watches his cut of the deal disappear down the pan.

And i.m told that today a certain figure at the FL has been dragged into this and if it turns out to be true it really isn't good news for BWFC in that once they get involved the speed at which they move might well see you start the new season with no manager never mind Evatt in place when the new season starts.

Imagine if one of our players rocked the boat this much.
Evatt could stop this in a minute but he did the same over Fylde .
Bolton give us the cash and give him what he deserves.
He needs to go totally untrustworthy, disrespecting the fans and the club.

Not sure why people think managers/players should be loyal when the football fans are so fickle.

Maybe he would've got a free pass next season if it doesn't go well with it being the first season in the league in quite a while.

But if he'd started poorly in the National League and we were lower mid table come March. Fans would be calling for a change. The club would be looking to get rid.

Surely there is news on this what on earth is their to think about Ian they are a club who in 7 years have dropped through the league system now reading how the training ground was padlocked out and now I know you performed a minor miracle for us but even if you go and named god as your number 2 not cowps btw you will not be able to do much short term and it could take 2/3 years to get where you want that over privileged club to where they want to be. It just doesn't sit well with me hope he stays

Possibly, although I happen to think our current board of directors would be pretty patient and, certainly, if he did get the sack he would be paid all of the remaining money on his outstanding contract which is all we have asked for from Bolton.

The problem now is one of trust. We have a manager who has twice been approached by clubs in the same divisions and shown an interest in them. His agent and himself could have put a stop to it straight away if they had said go away, not interested.Where does that leave the Board and the club ? not in a great place I'd say, watching and waiting for the next club to appear on the horizon waving a cheque book under his nose. Things can't really be the same, inherently we have a manager who wants to go.
Cox and Casson were different in a way, relations were strained but once Hartlepool arrived on the scene there was only going to be one outcome as the trust between the two had gone for ever.

Or do we have a manager whose agent wants him to go? ;)

Seems to be the case no loyalty in football at all

Simple solution. Barrowboard says to Bolton either put the money on the table by date x or sod off :o and let him start planning Barrows season. All this speculation is doing is preventing prep work for next season

Surely it's an illegal approach by Bolton for a manager that's contracted to the club and I would imagine barrow will be contacting the fa regarding this
