I wasn't at last nights game, so can't really comment. If I could get a hotel room in Barrow in midweek for £25 maybe I would have come.

I actually feel we made a massive error not agreeing to play the game to a conclusion on Saturday, it must have cost the club more to put the game on than it made on the gate. Saturday is more important than last night in the position we are in.

I feel a bit sorry for the Cassons, Ok they made promises they have not kept to and this has caused a fair amount of disappointment leading to people being turned off by the club BUT they have spent a fortune on the playing side, we have players being paid big wages I bet our budget does not reflex our position in the table.

I always feel we are run by a bunch of enthusiastic ammeters doing the best they can with the tools in front of them. Things have improved but are we anywhere near being more sustainable, I doubt it. The answer to that has been to, it appears, make further cut backs. Our facilities are terrible, commercially we are still poor. The community stuff is getting better, which is good.

Unless we can off load some of these players, I can't see anyone else coming in anytime soon. Hopefully the players read this and go out and show us what they can do on Saturday and we can stay in this league.

Prove us wrong players.

We are very despondent at the moment, let's hope it's the darkest hour before the dawn. I think we can field a much better side than last night, e.g : Yussuf (shows his ability but needs to do it consistently), Jones, Holt, Hall (not everyone's cup of tea, but surely better than Makoma), Harrison. Then Gomis if he can get back to the driving, energetic form he showed earlier this season and Humphreys if he can get fit and live up to his billing. Add a couple of committed new signings and we may be ok.

On another note, I always thought of Holker street as a place where the opposition hated coming - because of the atmosphere, the weather (usually) and our players who would be up for the game. Seems like our players hate coming here more than the opposition. Why would you sign for a team unless you loved playing at home? .. these are the questions pennock needs to put to the current players and potential new recruits. Our home form has to improve

Many of them live closer to the away grounds than Holker Steet so probably don't look forward to the trek down the A590, or have any sort of affinity with HS or the fans.

Oh for the days of the 1990 FAT when we had local lads such as Skivi, Proccy, and Cowps etc.

If the players go out and perform like that at Guiseley then feel free to hang them from the yard arm. My gut tells me that this probably wont happen. Paul Cox would have recognised everything from last night (as he created it) but on the other hand would've learned very little.

Those calling for massive changes will be disappointed as I dont think it will happen until the end of the season one way or another. Pennock/Holt need to get inside the heads of players some of whom they probably don't rate. Getting them to play to a decent standard regularly enough will be their challenge.

By the way I agree on the issue of completing the tie at Brackley. Having been there my view was that we probably would have won had we gone to extra time. Cannot work out why that option was not taken. But I will put it down to sloppy thinking when the Trophy enters the managerial mindset.

Been here before many times. Supporting BAFC is and has always been a roller coaster. Think they need as much vocal support as possible on Saturday. Hug them, kiss them and tell them they are the bee knees. Or shout and scream and jump up and down till they get it. Whatever works. I dont care as long as the result is good.

Just wonder if that's part of the problem at home as the atmosphere is flat whereas away when you listen to away matches on the radio you can hear our stalwart supporters giving them encouragement.

I know, I just meant that last night's side was not truly representative of a 'full strength' Barrow side, so perhaps some hope for the future.

The kids probably have more to prove instead of a load of players who think they are better than they are picking up some big wages.

If we got a few like Jimmy Dunne or Ryan Yates on loan until the end of the season I'd be quite happy. Any "permanent" signings would probably only be six month contracts anyway.
