I honestly cannot remember the last time I felt so entertained watching s match at HS, some decent wins in the last few years but as for being entertained for 90 minutes (well, we had much longer really) that was outstanding.
The way I E has them patiently building & looking for the right opening is a joy to watch. There were at least two spells last night when Chesterfield looked like the were chasing shadows...the passing was worthy of any team in this league.
When you look at what we’re doing here on a reduced budget compared to what we had a year ago....
Also really happy for Paul Casson that gates seem to be improving and he’s getting the football he wanted to see.

Why would I complain.
We have a Manager who is fighting to make his name and players who are the same.
Greatly reduced budget and no new stadium but the footballs good.
The dilemma is if we are in a position to gain promotion do you think we will go for it without financial backing.
So far so good ,let's see how we fair but it will be not be for lack of effort.

This is like the BBC news every night which has all the angst these days about things that might happen, rather than telling us what is happening or what has happened. Evatt is on a 2 year contract, Carlisle is even further away from where he lives and nobody in their right mind would want to manage Carlisle anyway. Let's enjoy it while it lasts and stop worrying about what might happen.

Excellent from Adam on radio and the footage is top banana!! Missed the game through being in a hospital bed but loved seeing results when I was well enough.. loved watching it back today too..
So thank you to the team who films and to Adam for thee great work. And a humongous thanks to the powers that be for bringing us Ian!! The team has responded, they play so well and it's hard not to be excited at future prospects..!! I genuinely hope this man takes us up, I hope the owners back him all the way, I hope us, the barrow and surrounding areas turn up and that the real development of our beloved club starts! There is no doubt clubs will be sniffing around our manager, our players etc but I get the feeling Ian is not a money influenced man and may just stay around to get us as far as we possibly can?? Anyway..great effort and I'm loving it..x

Agreed. Woking provided a salutary lesson to us all last season and are the reason that we can still talk about this seasons prospects. However they had a manager in Anthony Limbrick who's style was fashioned from theory rather than experience. Evatt looks like a rock by comparison.

I made no prediction about where we'd finish before the season started. My natural instinct was to be pretty negative but I thought I'd just wait and see. I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing so far but I'm certainly not thinking about play-offs. At the moment I'm just happy to see a team put together from nowhere and beginning to fulfil a potential that I didn't originally see. Many things can go wrong in a season and you'd be barking bonkers to draw any conclusions after 4 games. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

This team do make you want to watch them again however and I haven't thought that about a BAFC side for a long while. One game at a time.

Just watched the highlights and a little touch by Burgess from the pass through by Jameson. A great probing ball by Jameson in the first instance but what a little touch by Burgess, taking some of the pace off the ball and opening up a pathway for Smith to sweep it into the corner. Brilliant. It just goes to show that fantastic football doesn't have to be flashy or full of pyrotechnic skills. Here was just a "simple" little touch, projecting the ball only about a yard, but totally opening up the space. Simple in one sense but devastating in terms of touch and awareness. More please.

Was told by burgess himself that the deal will prob be until January! Great news if so
