Don't wish to disappoint some people but Pete Wild said he has seen the incident and Jamie Procter did not kick the player on the floor like the fourth official was suppose to have told the referee he had done.
On that basis, will there be an appeal?

I’m all for defending your players for the right reasons, but you can’t defend the inexcusable or indefensible as it ultimately loses you credibility.

Proctor is not to contest the second disciplinary charge which occurred after his red card so further sanction beyond the existing 3 match ban is possible.

His first Red Card in 8 years and first time he's ever abused an Official.

That's symptomatic of a frustrated footballer in his twilight years, not the player he was and who knows his best days are now behind him.

Not his fault as 'time waits for no man'.

We could all name numerous veterans whose skill levels have quickly evaporated before our very eyes.

Watched him yesterday at Stalybridge and he seemed to cut a slightly disconsolate figure. It might have been me looking into things too much but I wonder if he knew his fate yesterday. His lay offs and holding was good but his sharpness round the box was, shall we say, blunt. Was having a long chat with one of the coaches when the game ended. I felt for him. He is a good player but as you say Sam age catches up to all of us. I really really hope if he does get opportunities to play for us in the remainder of the season he scores some vital goals for us.

He’s 31, if he stays fit who know’s he can play another 2-3 seasons in league football.
Just to note- Salford’s Matt Smith, (you know the fella who put two into last weekend) is 34 and the current second highest goal scorer in the league on 21 having featured in all 33 of their league games to date. Having his best ever goal scoring season.

Wasn't at all suggesting he got Red Carded and abused the 4th Official because of his AGE.

His many years with a clean record shows his reckless actions were clearly OUT of character. Why was that?

Might it be because he can no longer perform like he has for the past 14 years.

Jamie has just 1 goal and 0 assists all season and who wouldn't be frustrated at that.
