Well if he is going it will surely be his own decision as I cannot think of a valid footballing reason why the club would want to part with the best Manager we’ve had since promotion. PW has moved us from skirting with relegation to a competitive EFL2 club and is halfway through a contract.
Looking at the league table and how it panned out - we’ve progressed again, the only downside was the poor end to the season but that surely sets the bar higher for next season? Wild will know we’ve lacked quality in the final third and he will know where we need to improve again. I’m hoping Iain Wood can now work with him, his team and the board to find the players we need to go further next season.

That’s true, he’s done a good job….but we were decently placed for a play-off place the previous season and we failed poorly in the end with many on here questioning tactics (rightly so). This season was a total collapse from Christmas, aside from a mini good run of form, which probably only made our final position look even worse.

You have to assume questions are being asked as to what happened.

Indeed, and probably fair questions as well given he was backed with the likes of Telford and Stockton which won't have been cheap...

However, the cryptic post above suggests something upset the apple cart at the end of March. The only thing that makes sense is that he'd been in discussions with another party to move on in the summer or he's been told he wouldn't be backed to the same extent, but I wouldn't know what to believe.

The clubs silence is fuelling the speculation. I wouldn't have believed this rumour except for the fact that we have heard absolutely nothing from PW and he turned down an interview with Adam.

If the rumours aren't true, the club just need to put a pic of PW on Twitter with a single line of text - no need to even address the rumour but just acknowledge that he will be here next season by associating him with the club on a Tweet. That's all they need to do

What I am worried about is that all this speculation may affect the take up of season tickets and all the good work of the last few seasons could be rapidly undone.The club needs to make a statement one way or another and end it once and for all.
