According to the Evening Mail Darren will be manager for the next 10 years as Paul Casson believe's he's the man
for Barrow, any thoughts ?

Yeah. If we stay up prettyyc omfortably and start playing a bit of footy/strengthening along the way, he'll be fine.

If we go to complete rats4!t and lose 6 or 7 on the bounce, he won't be.

Hopefully he is the right man and he does take the club further forward, but only time will tell!

Two defeats in two games, at the first hurdle of the FA Cup against lower league opposition, without scoring a goal. This is not acceptable within any stretch of the imagination. Bizarre substitutions again today.

We are ticking along ok in the league, but the football itself has been drab, even when we've picked up wins. We know as a fact this isn't interesting floating fans as 900 of them have disappeared since the start of the season. Today has indicated the squad is not much of an improvement on last season, thankfully there are teams worse than ourselves in the league otherwise we would really be struggling.

I have a lot of time for him as a bloke, and yes he'll always be appreciated for the title win and promotion but unfortunately I don't think he has the managerial nous and ability to take us any further than we are now, which is ultimately where Paul Casson's vision lies.

Same as with the players I don't care whether the manager is a nice bloke or a total [SwearFilter], I just care that he has some idea and ability of what needs doing. Edmondson doesn't.
I hope he can get another job (and take Meechan) with him but we need a more capable and connected manager if we don't want to go back down.

I always think the blame lies with the players, they go out on the pitch and do or don't perform well enough. However, that said, I really don't think edmo can escape the blame, he's either bought badly or isn't get enough out of the players he has. Really like the bloke, never forget him taking the time to talk to me and the other half at a services en-route to an away match, but niceness gets you nowhere and I think we need someone else in charge who if can't get the best out of these players has good contacts to get replacements
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

Nice guy

But ...
Football on offer is crap
Recruitment is poor
Players motivation seems zero

I'd get rid (and Meeks too)

I waited to see what his reasons were, blames sending off. I've defended the guy too long, he sets his teams up like he worries what the opposition have, let them worry about us you [SwearFilter] fool. He brings no flair, excitement to his approach , he's a defender and always will be, I've had enough of him,GO.

Can someone do one of those poll thread with an Edmo In or Edmo out voting option ? Or has that option gone since the forum update ?

Be interesting to see the results.
