Salford, that’s us out of it then…where’s your fight just because other clubs are interested doesn’t mean we have to lie down there’s more than one way to attract players and yes money talks but will he get the game time at Salford that we could offer,he’s Irish we are one of the closest teams to Heysham and if we still on a top 10 budget can’t believe there would be a massive gap in wages but we have to sell ourselves to the best of our ability and talk this club up

He's the lad who came on against us last game of the season, fell over a lot and eventually got booked for diving, isn't he? Genuinely thought he was the worst player I saw all season...
Seven goals in 85 games isn't exactly what we need either.

What's the relevance of Heysham? The only passenger ferry from there goes to the Isle of Man and there's no airport.

Wasn’t Rose the little fella that went in goal after their keeper was sent off.? Shirt came down to his knees.

Yeah, they saw how good he was at chucking himself about.

rumoured to be heading to Tranmere.
"Will Grigg's on Fire" has been released by Sunderland - but don't think he'll be coming here either

Andy Carroll has been released by the Baggies, and with our track record of signing crocks, could he be our new striker?

Listened to the York manager interview today and he mentioned that some of his players are attracting interest from EFL clubs and unlikely to re-sign. One of them mentioned was Akil Wright.

No thanks - Ollie Dyson had most assists at York, i'd prefer him to Wright, but neither would probably be good enough for the EFL - Dyson might in a few years.

If that's John McAtee you're talking about, I agree. He looked a level above everybody else and everything he did was classy. Only 22 years old and they signed him from Scunthorpe(!!!) at the start of the season. He played 49 games for Scunthorpe and scored 4 goals but has scored 14 goals in 36 games for Grimsby this season. More an attacking midfielder player than an out and out striker but i Grimsby don't go up, would be a great signing for somebody. There's plenty of good players out there! I watched the Wrexham v Grimsby and Mansfield v Port Vale matches today and IMO the level of skill in the NL match was much higher than the EFL2 match but the defending was woeful in the NL match.

Watching Chesterfield over the last week in the NL Play-Offs, their best player has been a lad called Jeff King. A quick Google shows he played under Pete Wild at Halifax for 2 years - the second of which he scored 7 from midfield/right-back and was in the NL team of the year. Maybe a random shout, but there it is.

Chesterfield just lost in the NL play off's too - which should make King easier to get if Wild wants him as Chesterfield will still be in the NL and not the same league as us next season.
