There still is discount for students, £11 entry with a NUS card although I have never had my card checked, perhaps £9 entry and being more stringent on checking ID cards might encourage a few more though the gates. Psychologically £9 feels a lot cheaper than £11 (under a tenner argument) and checking cards stops abuse of it because NUS cards (or other NUS validated ID) has a photograph.
It's £12 for students to get in the ground. Thats how much I'm charged when I go in the X bar end. And it should be any student card thats in date, I don't get this affiliation with an NUS card. Not all students have one and I doubt the club get anything of the NUS.
It's definitely £11 Kie. I pay the same place as you.

Under 16's £2
Students/U21 £5 with card
O.A.P's £5
Rest of us £10 to stand, £11 to sit.
Two adults and 2 kids, one u11 and one u16 would cost £22
We lose loads because of the price gap between U16 and adult.
I find that reasonable Steve!

Preparation for next season doesn't just have to hinge on how much to charge punters. It should be out there being pro active to get people interested again, maybe have a few kits available to buy in the club shop before Xmas, get a team virtually all signed on ready to gel during pre season instead of using the first 10 games lookin like complete strangers to each other!! Try and have the club open a couple of days during pre season instead of just shittin up shop until a week before the season started. Martin Lewis did so much as regards attracting sponsors corporates etc hes a big loss but not to replace him was another backwards step for the club. All these things just never sat right and that's why we're in the position but will we learn and do anything different this pre season....... Doubt it very much!!!

Seriously though, this is what makes it an expensive day out for lads. It amazes me how much is spent on alcohol yet complain about £12 to support our team.
Were you ever young once Elaine ? Take a day off
Yes I was and still am!!! You will learn as you mature that you get your priorities right. Either pay the going rate or cut something out if you are unable to afford both, choose whichever is more important to you. Does your moaning ever stop?

That's the point. People are prioritising, which is why there's such low numbers of floating youth coming to games.

We have to be realistic and expect it to be BSN , only the hearts of the very optimistic think otherwise. Its a great idea to reduce costs for some but it also reduces the revenue the club gets from gate receipts bearing in mind that the crowds will drop and any income from away supporters for most matches will be almost nil. So there is very little room for give aways. We all know the club has little spare cash as it is, especially if we struggle in the lower reaches of the league as we will lose some of our better players especially if we revert to part time which to save money in the present economic climate is a big possibility.

Me and the lad have not been to a single game this year.
He is now 17 years old and at furness college and I simply cannot afford £28 a game anymore.

Exactly.
I agree about priorities and that peoples' idea of what consitutes a day at the football differ, but the simple fact remains that if you are paying £26 quid to get you and your (not yet earning) 17 year old into Barrow it is too much in this league, never mind BSN.
By the way, I also agree totally re other aspects that have to improve, but I am actually confident the club will do better with this in the close, based on the steps already made to use volunteers to help with tidying up and ground maintenance. Also, people have become more involved with the shop etc.
There's loads that can be improved re marketing though..

Valid point made, but me been a bit of a pendant, I think you missed the word ‘been’ out of your first sentence which should I think have read as follows:
'Me and the been lad have not to a single game this year.' But yeah - it's rather steep especially when you get two home games a week.
