Curious that the original apology for Bayles's language has apparently been retracted.
Also interesting (and seemingly inconsistent) how Sheridan was suspended pending investigation but it looks at the moment like Bayliss won't be.
Nothing sinister about it. I revised the statement as i'd posted a personal opinion in my haste to get something out.
Completely my fault.
Careful Pete, they'll be after your head next. Completely understandable error by the way.

I hope this is resolved before Tuesday, as we can't go into Tuesday night with this hanging over everyone. For it not to be resolved before then would be crazy.

My reasons for thinking that is that there are so many skeletons in the BOD's closet that they're scared to dismiss anyone who may go off on one and expose more than they would like before they can convert their loans to shares and then sell up.
I know you don't like the BoD or Dave Bayliss, Paul, but some of your comments are outrageous and bordering on libel!
This forum at the moment puts me in mind of a lynch mob.
I don't dislike the BoD. I like all but one of them as it happens.
I don't like Bayliss and haven't for a good while.
Also, how can an opinion be libelous?

H'mm, surely an opinion printed can be libelous Paul.

Not if you make it clear that it's your
opinion, by writing something like 'in my opinion'.

Well according to the English Dictionary it's - "written or printed matter tended to injure a persons reputation" Doesn't seem to be any "in my opinion" get out clause there.
I can't believe I'm even looking that up!

It was only my opinion!

Can't see an easy fix for this one.
If they do sack Bayliss, who will take charge of team affairs?. He won't resign cos he reckons he has never run away from anything.
With funds tied up in the present squad and I presume most on one year contracts there won't be any money to bring in new recruits.
Half a million in debt, losing money by the week, who in their right minds would invest in a business like that.
There is a long list of clubs who's foray into Conference Premier when they were not prepared for it has ended in disaster. Barrow could be the next.
A dire situation.

Just the same as the rugby, similar situation, similar debt's, similar gates, same town - shed loads of applicants, I admit it's a case of finding the right person but there are plenty of managers looking for job's & there are plenty of managers looking to move up the managerial ladder.
Jock wrote:He won't resign
Not too sure about that, he's stubborn to the point of stupidity at times but I also think he's quite a proud bloke & this'll be hurting him - I think he now realise's that he's done his best but that hasn't been good enough.

So nearly 72 hours on and still no official apology from either the club or manager for the foul language on the radio. If this reflects the club's values then it's no wonder the local community show such apathy towards the club. You know though, I'm almost past caring now too...somebody wake me up when the Keens have gone, until then I shan't be wasting any more of my time or money.

I wonder if Radio Cumbria had any complaints about the language?

if the board thought dave bayliss had done anything wrong he would not be in charge tonight so i guess they are happy but i thought there would be a statement explaining their decision but if they then go and take action against him later on they will have lost any remaining credability!

Meechan just said on radio that the fans involved on Saturday met with board tonight and retracted there statements.
Strange that as I'm in East Yorkshire.

What about DB's language on the radio and offering to take on fans?
