Agree - might be intially disheartening but stick at it and you'll get there, learning lots in the process.

Bump.
U 18's play Skelmersdale Utd tomorrow.2-30pm kick off.
These lads need some support in what is a difficult league for them. Let's give them some encouragement.

Do many attend Elaine?
I know very healthy crowds were attending when the 1st team were struggling and these lads were introduced but i'd imagine after our Edmolution & these lads struggling results wise it would have tapered off somewhat, hope i am wrong though.

No not this season Mike. Last season there was a good response but it is just the parents and a few friends now. It's a shame they aren't allowed to charge admittance fee either but voluntary donations can be made.
What happened to the photos we used to see with the camera we bought? It might generate some interest if those were posted on the forum.

Re: North West Youth Alliance Premier Division Fixtures Out
Attendance hit an all time low yesterday with the Barrow fans out numbered and out shouted by the away fans!!!
Still making silly errors in defense, going in 4-0 down at half time wasn't the best situation to be in but give the lads some credit they came out in the 2nd have and worked very well, they were the better team by far in the 2nd half, 1 goal and several missed/close chances, on another day they would have gone in and we would have seen a great comeback, but it wasn't to be, the 5th goal was against the run of play.
After recent results, the 2nd half they played as they did last year and we saw some good football, they just need to produce that form for the full 90 and we'll be back to wining ways.
They are back at home next Sunday, but keep it quiet for some reason the games are not being promoted and as such that's not helping attendance either, if you free next Sunday pop along and cheer them on.

Re: North West Youth Alliance Premier Division Fixtures Out
The U18 NWYA squad are in action today at home to Prescot Cables, 2.30pm kick off.
In response to your question on the camera Elaine, which was bought with help from some kind donations from the good people on the forum, it was a video camera and not a still camera, which we are using to record our home games, and when we can away games too. We are using this footage as part of our video analysis we do with the players in both the U18 NWYA and LFA Floodlit League squads in order to help with their development.
All the photos posted on here from our games last year were kindly taken by Big E, as his son was a part of he U18 set up last season, but is now too old to play for us. We are looking to create highlights for our games and post them online, and we will post a link to any highlights when we have them. If anyone else is a keen photographer and would like to take some snaps of any of our fixtures then please feel free to come along and do so.

It would be good to see some action shots but I can understand if you rely on well wishers to do it. At least they are benefiting from the camera regarding training videos.
Let's hope for a victory today.

Very reminiscent of my St Aidan U14 goal keeping skills that.

Good to read about some possible mouth watering fixtures for the U 18s starting with Liverpool at the end of the month. Can only serve to raise the profile of the club and hopefully the lads will stand up to the test and learn from their experiences. Have not seen the lads play as yet this season but looking forward to watching a game or two soon.
