I think that's a bit harsh. They've already said that they received contact late from the club and they felt it wouldn't give people a proper chance to vote. And the players get an extra 3 weeks or whatever to win.

There was also an ISC Player of the Year award given in the past so I presume the Trust is a replacement award as the ISC is now disbanded.
As some of these members travel to away games as well I think it will be a well balanced vote PROVIDED none of this silly Mo business takes over. He might be the best player on the planet but if we haven't witnessed it who knows?

Why will it be any different to the winner of Man of the Match managing to stay an extra 10 minutes every week? I can't see it being a lavish 2 hour affair myself.

I've been reliably informed that its Player of the Year -always has been and always will be for - the year 2015 & 2016

Dearie me.

NSC award needs to be given too, and them making the last game of the season is a real tradition. It will make MOM last about 2 minutes longer so hardly a mass imposition. The whole Player of the Year presentation will get changed next season/year/whatever and rightly so.
