Would like to see us go after a Northern manager someone like brabin perhaps but think he's on the coaching staff at port Vale.

Re: Pennock Gone
Glad I’ve not renewed my season ticket for this year! Turning into a shambles of a place. Be interesting to see the first 11 come August... all is well I did receive my bead bauress shirt in the post this week for player sponsor!
Re: Pennock Gone
Who in their right mind would want to manage this shambles and have to answer to that fool.i can see us finishing rock bottom.Andrew Casson talks so much shite I don't think even he knows what's true and what isn't anymore. Its time to get a footballing man in and start again,if it's not to late
how we get there i don,t no.Barrows on the way
Re: Pennock Gone
Could be good, but could be a disaster. The last thing we want at this point is to gamble on an inexperienced manager. If some ex-Premier big shot came in in January and was appointed manager in May what would we think? We are ruled by sentiment too often.
Re: Pennock Gone
I'd rather put the boiler charge.
Re: Pennock Gone
Good luck Ady, jamie and Lindsey you deserve better and I hope you find better, and thank you!!
Whoever is next certainly won't last the season so Andrew would be the ideal candidate..

Re: Pennock Gone
I have nothing bad to say about Pennock or Day. I dare say they did their best and we simply couldn't justify keeping them on right now. The damage was done with Cox and Co and then that moronic decision to put Micky Moore in charge.
I hope Holt stays but I also wouldn't be at all surprised if he had to leave also. We need a journeyman manager now who knows the game inside and out.

Re: Pennock Gone
Good luck to the fella. Seemed to work in the right way and conducted himself well.
Next up - either a gnarled old veteran who can keep us ticking over or someone in their first job, with new ideas, glad of the chance to shine.
No idea about names.

Re: Pennock Gone
First of all got to thank Pennock for keeping us up. Amazing he did, considering the team he was left with.
Secondly, I would advertise the managers job with the job spec that Holt will be assistant and have Holt help decide the new manager. I think it's too big a risk at this critical time to give the job to Holt but would like to see him with an experienced non league manager who he can learn from.
Thirdly, we may have limited the decent applicants based on a) the reduced budget and b) the fact we've had 3 managers in under 12 months

Re: Pennock Gone
Really don't think managers care about that. Most of them would kill their granny for a vacancy. If they are successful so be it, if not they get punted and look elsewhere. There will be a lot of interest, despite the Cassons.Mark Johnson wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 11:21 am Thirdly, we may have limited the decent applicants based on a) the reduced budget and b) the fact we've had 3 managers in under 12 months
Always thought Gary Mills would be a decent shout. Did fantastically well at Gateshead.

Re: Pennock Gone
Get the two blokes in that have just parted ways with salford. We've had joint managers before and that worked out well didnt it? It'll be a paycut from what they were on there but I imagine they will want to prove themselves competent at this level having not been given the chance to do so at the former club.
Cheers to pennock for giving us another season in this league. Seemed a decent bloke and I wish him well for the future.
