Still developing players at over 16 level though. Something that no other club in this area does to my knowledge. That step up to open age puts a lot of kids off and one that should be tapped into more.

That was for an academy right from youth level. The scheme offered by SCL is for 16-18 years olds and may be a good model for us and what Casson is looking into (or similar) perhaps a link up with Furness College?

It's really easy to setup. You wouldn't even need to involve the college with the private providers in that market.

Let’s be honest we won’t be setting an academy up will we? More likely some form of link up like Lancaster have with Myerscough college
