Newport (A)
Re: First Game Prediction Thread
I must say I like the symmetry of this. Or maybe Exeter at home would work better? Shouldn't be too difficult for the powers-that-be to arrange/contrive. Might even have some publicity value?
Exeter (A) / voted out of league / 48 years in the "non-League wilderness" / voted back into EFL / Exeter (H)
Now we would just need to win 7-1 for the symmetry to be absolutely perfect! ("
No bubblewrap unpopped.

Re: First Game Prediction Thread
Am also thinking Exeter away would be a great way to kick off the season and mark our resurrected Football League status. Great place to visit (if we are allowed to attend the game and as a first fixture should ensure a good turn-out). Gets a long journey out of the way for the club and supporters when the weather is theoretically reasonable. The history associated with the fixture may mean the game will be televised (long shot, I know, though great if we are prevented from attending and mitigates the changed kick-off time).

And whether they would be better or worse than Macclesfield away?

Re: First Game Prediction Thread
If anybody's interested there's some great stuff going on between Macclesfield, Stevenage and the EFL regarding relegation, tribunals, appeals and empassioned correspondence bordering on the libelous.
Definitely a love triangle gone wrong.

Hmm, if it all gets really messy I just hope there is no impact on our promotion in terms of blocking/stopping it.Suffolk Blue wrote: βWed Jul 15, 2020 10:45 amIf anybody's interested there's some great stuff going on between Macclesfield, Stevenage and the EFL regarding relegation, tribunals, appeals and empassioned correspondence bordering on the libelous.
