Whoever it is, we should take our time. Have a proper application and selection process. No rushed appointments. No mate appointments.

Id be happy with Alexander as well. Thought he was unlucky to be sacked at Salford.

Hurst would be a good appointment.

Flitcroft for me.
Was Rob Kelly Flitcrofts assistant at Bury?

It takes weeks to appoint going down that route and you have to tick the PC box and interview a BAME candidate. Sol Campbell anyone ;)

Someone who strives to be best and believes that Barrow should be amongst the best. None of this “its a big step up what do you expect” stuff. Got to believe in the club, the team and understand where we are coming from. The platform is there.

It’s how we recruited Evatt. And look what happened, last time we failed to hold a proper re recruitment process. Didn’t end well. In fact was a disaster

Unbelievable. The board was panned for appointing David Dunn without seeing who was out there yet now it should have someone lined up to take charge immediately without seeing who else might be out there. :?

At the end of the day, you dont buy the wrapper, you buy the biscuits, we need a few more quality biscuits.

Alexander would be my ideal shout also. He's local enough, experienced enough and sufficiently able to motivate. Lets put it this way had he been our manager from day one I dont think we'd have been this poor - even with the same squad. In my view we still need what we needed from the day Evatt left - someone who can grab the squad by the throat and keep it afloat in the division until we could settle.

Hopefully we don't go for a "name" that haven't done much in recent years.

Think we have to go through the process but quickly Flitcroft had a good record at Mansfield wonder why they sacked him.
Cox was there and left maybe it's the owner.
Need to do out homework on whoever's we appoint.

Bradford will be in the hunt for a manager so im wondering if the BOD had a target and acted quicker than they were planning on because of this ?
If a manager is out of work he ain't getting paid and if he wants a job then negotiate a wage both parties are happy with. Could always insert a Evett type release clause if he wants to go elsewhere. Just need someone who has the experience and hopefully gets the team playing better and we start getting the points.
