It certainly wasn’t a weak team of kids

The goalkeeper was forests 2nd choice keeper

The right back played all of last season on loan at forest green

One of the midfielders has played for the likes of Malmö and ostersunds, another one is a Republic of Ireland international that played for Bournemouth in the premier league and the other Midfielder spent all last season on loan at Plymouth

A good pre season work out and we won

There is a connection with Cooper at FGR last season and Wagstaff is a free agent. Might be a bit fanciful though as I dont think Scott Wagstaff has been remotely north of Birmingham in his entire career (apart from a brief loan at Northwich Vics early in his career).

There have been some positives from the friendlies in that our defence is looking solid.
Also, the performances against Birmingham and Bolton teams with plenty of first team players was good.
IMO, we need more in attack though otherwise scoring goals could be a problem.
