Proven goal scorer at efl2, 48 goals in 161 apps @ Forest Green, and more recently 82 in 165 @ Tranmere. Even at Ipswich with 20 in 56. Would be a great addition with goals and experience, this is the calibre of player MC should be looking at imo.
Fails the barrowafc.net assessment sadly...
Over 30 (legs have gone)
Located in the south (impossible to move north)

The barrow forum criteria really is hard to get past. Most probably wouldn’t be happy signing quigley and Rooney as replacements for quigley and Rooney

That’s a bs criterion to select players by the way, 31 is no age in efl2. He lived at Tranmere for 5 years. Let’s not kid ourselves, we don’t expect him to move to Hawcoat! It’s not beyond the realm of possibility, there needs to be a statement signing and if we offer him the best deal he may see it as one last payday/2 year contract before retirement.

Any others you can think of?

I would of hoped from the additional incomes we have had this season( Quigley sale, league cup) that we would have had a transfer kitty. If we don’t, is it possible to set up a “ go fund” page for a striker.

We have a top 10 budget, isn't it the managers job to spend it right

we have a top 10 team if we had a striker that actually runs around, doesnt have a touch like jack the ripper and can score the odd goal

Didn’t we get to seventh with the strikers we have?

We did but it was the rest of the team, not the strikers scoring goals.
Maybe they are to blame now not Zanzala and Gordon.

Your minds are playing tricks on you. We need a left back who can tackle, a right back who can tackle and players who can jump at corners.

Need convincing? Go and watch the goals we concede time and again.

Whislt I'm on- Tom White needs to come in for Ollie Banks, or alongside Banks at the expense of Gotts or Stevens.

We don't have right & left backs we have wing backs as that's the way MC wants us to play. Our back three often play very wide across the back particularly when we have the ball. The idea. I presume, is that when we lose the ball our midfield will plug the gaps in between until we set ourselves up defensively. Was surprised to see how wide the back three play.

However, as everyone else has said on here when Hutton & Brough do get their crosses in we don't seem to have anyone to cause problems in the box physically. If we can see this all the opposition teams will have definitely seen it! We are so predictable at present.

Sutton (after watching the Mansfield highlights) on Saturday look a big physical and direct team so I have very little hope of a result (win or draw) or a goal......again

Well it would need a change of shape. Going forward, Hutton is a threat, but defensively, give me Brown in there any day. So how do you trade off there? Midfield, we miss the tenacity of Tom White, As for corners and set pieces, it doesn't matter who is in there, they have got to show strength and determination to win that aerial battle. Instead we see a lot of Farman coming out for the punch.

you're right but brough only seems to start playing when we go behind as for hutton when he takes a man on he's brilliant but he's far too soft when he tackles and a few times this season in a 50/50 he's bottled it !.
to play this way you have to press and we don't do this because we haven't the players to do this !
I personally think he should ditch this system because defensively we can't play it our defenders often don't know who to mark / pick up and our defenders are too slow to cover the wingbacks as someone previously said brough is far better as a central defender oh for another Norrington Davies (think that's right!) he was the kind of fullback we need for this league!

Ellis is a top centre half, early season when we reached dizzy heights and were winning matches, he was a colossus at the back, maybe platt isn’t as good as some people think. We need forwards, with strength and powere.
