I’d rather it was someone permanent with a clause re salary if we were to go down. That way they have a chance to see what they have going forward and be able to make decisions on the squad based on actually seeing what they are like as players and people, when their backs are against the wall these last 9 games.

Not a fan of the "give it to the oldest player in the squad" approach. Get Rob Kelly back on loan.

I know it was tongue in cheek Jim but if we are considering someone who has been sacked for gawd's sake find out WHY they were sacked before appointing them.

Due diligence they call it - as I'm sure Mr. Hornby knows!

There are only nine games left and its a massive ask for anyone to come in and hit the ground running and get a result straight away.
I know it’s a results business but the biggest concern for me is that the players generally gave it all for Cooper and he stood by them time and again and they still failed to cut out mistakes and still couldn't hit the net. That problem is still going to be there regardless of who’s in charge.

Do you know why he left Forest Green? You're implying that you do. According to that club and its chairman it was because of a run of poor results culminating in 4 straight defeats. And if there was another, underlying reason what's to say Barrow didn't know?
