It sounded on the commentary like Warren played at his normal right sided position instead of the left he played at Holker and that he linked up very well with Hutton.

Enjoyable day out and another good work out for the Lads - First half I thought this is going to be a repeat of Ashton
we had chances but we couldn’t convert. Second half with our superior fitness we ran riot. Not getting too carried away they are in Step 5. Kendal play step 5 and lost 9-0 to Carlisle the other night. The only slight disappointment some of their players put in some unfriendly second half challenges which was a bit sad.

Penrith lost 1-5 to Carlisle eight days ago.

Lovely day out and a nice relaxed feel by the end. Good to see those in the 30 minute second half squad had the bit between their teeth and wanted to prove themselves.

Onto Witton on Tuesday!

Totally! SDS is miles off it.

I think Josh Gordon has looked sharp and lively the friendlies,linking up well with Hutton and seems to be more wide in recent games,can’t complain how he’s finished his chances lately.Maybe Wild will get the best out of him and develop him.Got to give them all a chance under the new management as I’m sure Cooper won’t have made many players feel welcome with his dour attitude.

Wild has talked about winning the ball high up the pitch. Josh Gordon will be seen as a real asset to wild in this sense. He started last season very strong, dipped a little and then looked great as an impact sub. Think this could be a good season for him.
