Or the plan is to eventually knock down the main stand and put the changing rooms club shop ect in a new stand. So makes sense using the type of stands they are now. Blackpool bristol rovers Gillingham all have stands the same

I don't think so. Blackpools East stand is technically a "temporary" structure and has been there since 2010

A pragmatic solution, given that we don't really need the seats yet have to have them, while allowing scope for wider development or relocation in the future.

No point putting in a detailed planning proposal until you have detailed plans. and the means to achieve them. Two years ago, as recovery from COVID and the (worldwide) costs of construction materials and work rocketed, it appears that the club was in a situation where it seemed that initial proposals were unaffordable.

We can learn from documents supporting the planning application that their genesis has been under way since last year and that discussions with a planning officer have been ongoing for some time.

That's pretty much it tbh. Plus a grant mess up which was nowt to do with the club.

Anyone who walks around outside a matchday on the regular will tell you we are exhuming the ground rather than developing it- it's incredibly challenging without a huge pot of cash (and yes, Accrington great example, but even there he puts in a massive wedge and it took them a decade plus)

It's not altruism that sees BAE moving offices into various empty shops etc- makes sense to repurpose rather than build and use space flexibly at the moment. It also means that when Sheik Al Maktoum Denver Bronco Incorporated comes along, or we get Man Utd away every season for 5 years, or someone on the forum wins Euromillions, we are ready for the super stadium we deserve relatively easily.

The planning statement on the application mentions the stands are second hand from the Birmingham Commonwealth games. Hopefully a decent cost saving
