Ah well now that excitement’s over back to watching England

Re: Big Day tomorrow, excitement building.
Erm, so that is why then....Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 9:15 am No we often get Tranmere at the beginning of the season.
I understand that in the initial computer run, the fixtures will be reversed in the same sequence in the second half of the season. Obviously they are then subject to interference rules again.
That’s why we played Tranmere in late December or early January in the last two seasons. Because we played them first.

Every team in league 2 will be have 20 games televised by sky so expect plenty of revised kick off times and date changesbehind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 10:41 amLeague 1 games kick-Off 5-30pm on first day hopefully not too many of our games are moved.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 9:46 am A lot could change regarding fixture dates and KO times once sky get their claws into them

There are, I think, 16 games that can be televised without the kick-off time being moved:Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 12:41 pmEvery team in league 2 will be have 20 games televised by sky so expect plenty of revised kick off times and date changesbehind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 10:41 am

1 opening game (the Premier League starts the week later)
6 Tuesday night games
4 Saturdays in international breaks
3 non-Saturday games over Christmas & New Year
2 non-Saturday games at Easter
So I think it might be as few as 4 games that need to have changed kick-off times.

They have already moved Chesterfields opening game to a Friday night
First Saturday of the season all championship games are 12.30 ko league 2 at 3.00 and league one at 5:30. All for the convenience of Sky tv.

Carlisle 2nd game of the season. Think a tongue in cheek banner reading 'from Manchester with love' will turn Simpson inside out.

You'll have to explain that one for me.barrow1987 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 2:33 pm Carlisle 2nd game of the season. Think a tongue in cheek banner reading 'from Manchester with love' will turn Simpson inside out.

Can imagine a good following for the Carlisle game in what will probably be a 10,000 crowd, first home game new signings & ground improvements, going to be some atmosphere and plenty of Barrow fans.

I think it refers to Simpson's comment that we're not really a Cumbrian club.xerxes wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 3:10 pmYou'll have to explain that one for me.barrow1987 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 2:33 pm Carlisle 2nd game of the season. Re: Big Day tomorrow, excitement building.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Sky picked it as one of the live EFL2 games and it’s a 1:00 ko. That would also satisfy Cumbria Police who of IRCC had the ko time changed the last time we went up to Brunton park on a Saturdaybehind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 4:28 pm Can imagine a good following for the Carlisle game in what will probably be a 10,000 crowd, first home game new signings & ground improvements, going to be some atmosphere and plenty of Barrow fans.
