I know the face is obscured, but it looks more like Fred Else to me. Mind you, I wouldn't be putting too much money on it!
No, I don't think that's Fred.

McGarry channeling The Fonz there. Maybe it's an omen and we need to find Miss Zigger for some words of encouragement. A job for PJ who will have her autograph and hopefully a phone number in a little book somewhere.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

WG . . . very good . . . I would have been 11 at the time that photo was taken, and a squeaky-voiced soprano in the school choir! I guess if Ms Zigger (what, 16? 17?) had given me her phone number she might have faced consequences! And if I had accepted her phone number, knowing Pirate Ron was clearly enamoured with her, then I would have faced consequences too, for crossing his path and incurring his ire. I suspect Ron is someone you wouldn't want to incur the ire of . . . if she had been a number in my little red book then I would have been a number in The Pirate's Big Black Book.

I can report that Glenys Currie lived on Cowlarns Road at that time, she went on to become a chemist but I'm told, sadly, she has died. (More info could be forthcoming as my harem of girlfriends who knew her rack their collective memories.) I do know she and her sister, Liz (also, sadly, deceased at a quite early age) used to go to Vickers Sports Club.
Went to Victoria Secondary.
Don't let the old man in.
