It doesn’t Chris we’ve missed a trick, money invested in the infurstucture of the club would have generated money by nowbarrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:57 pm No youth set up is ridiculous 6 years of academy money not used.
No foundations laid at all for our long term how does this club grow?

Exactly my concerns, all this extra income we've recieved or generated over the years which should have been put towards these sorts of things has been swallowed up by the instability on the pitch.barrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 10:57 pm No youth set up is ridiculous 6 years of academy money not used.

After Wild's first season we got those (although not perfect but needs must) stands up which was final part of meeting ground regulations, and for the first time we were heading into the new season with the same manager and core of a decent squad in place. Yet 12 months later after a good season that ended poorly (yet not the end of the world), the decision was made to rip it up and start again.
Popular side since '03.

We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

Maybe they don't have a policy of signing players who are past thier best or coming back from injuries.
Maybe they sign players over 5ft 6.
Maybe they sign players with resilience
Maybe they have a medical team and coaching staff who know what they are doing
Maybe they train on grass
Maybe they dont have an ex agent as DOF
Maybe they have good facilities for away fans
Maybe they don't ban under 17 s
Maybe they don't burn through managers
Maybe they don't offer player contracts that all expire at the same time.
Maybe they retain thier better players
Maybe they attract decent loan players
Maybe they have a right back.
Oh jeez ....Maybe they listen to fans.... FFS

Re: What do Accrington do and we don’t?
I wonder who drew up and offered them those contracts?
IMO Hornby and Shearer have been hoodwinked by an ex-agent.
They, esp Hornby, won't agree as they quickly offered him more money when Carlisle allegedly came sniffing around for his services, and then they then put him on the Board.
Hornby says that Wood put many hours into his job, which is no doubt true, but that was his decision.
It's not the hours you put in that matter, it's what you put into the hours!
