On the edited highlights they never threatened, and also missed the games biggest talking point.whitty1969 wrote:Just watched the highlights

Agreed. Look where we were last season......
If you took your boots to Holker Street last season you would of got a game. We never filled the bench on quite a few occasions !!!
Goals were rare...... Losing 0-6 at Home !! Crowds down to 400...
I couldn't believe how bad it was. I nearly stopped going myself.
12 months on we are 2nd, nearly 60 pts, lots of goals, Stadium plans, etc
Bring on Saturday, see you in the bar.

The highlights show a distinct Barrow bias. It was a very empty victory for me.whitty1969 wrote:Just watched the highlights.
If Edmo mentioned the state of the pitch, then he isn't far wrong is he?
How can you possibly play football on that !!!!!!!!
Oxford never threatened. We scored 3 away from Home (8 for the week) Kept a clean sheet.
Could of scored 7. Strikers scoring all the goals. An easy victory.
What's everyone moaning about?

Missed that motorbike roaring up the pitch at 1.30 as well.
Brought back memories of the Barrow Happy Faces.
The horror, the horror.

Believe me they threatened us, they also got the ball down on the deck and played football.
I still stand by what i said, yes it was nice to win 3-0 and nobody is complaining about that fact but 11 against 11 with an actual keeper in nets i dont think we would of won, the performance was not good.
Anyway game gone onto the next

I asked because at the time of posting no one in our league had played 27 games and lost 6. If it is meant to be Barrow then your stats are wrong.Mr Positive wrote:Now let me think! this is a topic on Barrow so yes it must be about Barrow, silly me for not saying who it's about. slap my head with a wet gazette.

Their 'keeper seems to be developing a liking for early baths; he was sent off
again today against Tamworth. He managed more than six minutes this time, though!
