Sick at heart after tonight

We were woeful for the first 45 minutes (Hall centre half etc) but Chester were so bad we got back into it with two decent finishes to punish mistakes. Slightly bizarrely and then hearteningly we were much the better side in the second half. People who have been fairly awful all year like Bauress put in a shift, as did Hughes, Yussuf, Bartram and actually Hall! Gomis busy and strong. 4-2-3-1 with Gomis and Hughes at the base for me but please God get in a manager.

They started to load up the area on crosses and we just couldn't hold out being so depleted at the back. I suspect the goal is again Dixon's fault and I think we are reaching the end game there but he made a great save just before.

The support tried and for all we are grating on each other just now we care. I looked around and there were folk of all opinions and ways who have seen much worse. We need to dig deep, the team need to dig deep and the Cassons need to show clear leadership, get a manager in and leave them to crack on.

Just got back, heart breaking finish made all the worse by Bignots reaction as though they had won the world cup......embarrassing.

How went in at ht all square at 2-2 I'm still trying to work out, we were a disgrace first 45. Dixon at fault for the first not cutting the angle, Bauress for the second just giving their player all the time he wanted to smash home. Could and should have been more than 2 down, but we got two chances and we somehow went in level.

Second half performance wise was much better, Gomis for me the stand out player who gives his all every game. We huffed and puffed without really creating any real chances, Harry with a far post header my only memory of a half chance really. Then the heart break, we looked dead on our feet and gave it a go but that's just not enough at this level.

Defensively we were woeful first 45 and those 2 goals cannot paper over a dire half of football, yes second half we were better but we still lack 4/5 solid National league players.

Gutting thing was.......Chester were equally a very poor side!!

Going to be a long season of suffering unless the new manager is given reign to make changes!!

We were so poor for the first 45 minutes and somehow managed to get into it. We took the momentum into the second half and looked more confident. The ball was sticking every time we went forward and the link up play was a lot better compared to the first half and we were unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions.

This was my second barrow game of the season. The first being Solihull so was very interested to see if all the stuff on here that's been said is correct. I can see why were down there but I can also see glimses of some half decent players. The majority of them look void of any fight or moral, which is understandable at the moment. Think we need to employ a bit of a [SwearFilter] now to get this lot into shape, think we'll be alright come may.

Also credit to Liam Hughes, put in a big shift today and thought for everything and looked really decent in the middle.

Also did anyone notice hornby waving his players over st the end. Must of shouted them at least 3 times to come clap the away fans.

Poor game management and a [SwearFilter] poor substitution at the end cost us dearly. Thompson came on the field for Hughes and was looking around like little boy lost as he din't seem to know where he was supposed to be. He looked to Hall for guidance and got none whatsoever. Indirectly that led to the corners and then the deciding goal.

The first 44 minutes was the worst i have seen us play in years. Devoid of creativity but perhaps more worryingly devoid of fight. We got let back in it but they were two clinical finishes from Adi and Byron. Second half we were certainly the better side and showed some passion at last but really we did not create a lot.

Defence is a huge issue and sticking Hall in there was not the answer though in fairness he did have one of his better games (possibly not saying a lot though). If we keep chopping and changing at the back then we are going to struggle more and more. Barthram is a big timer bottler and I have no idea why he came with such a good reputation. Bauress was bought as a squad player and is suffering from being relied upon too much in what is an alien position. We looked dangerous when we got the ball wide but other than Bauress we have no real width. Gomis was the real shining light but Hughes was actually doing well when taken off - had he been hauled off 20 minutes earlier it would have made sense but in injury time it just disrupted our shape.

We have just lost twice in 4 days to two very poor sides and the only thing that is going to save us at present might be the fact that there are a lot of [SwearFilter] poor sides in this league.

Our support awesome as usual and clapped the players at the end giving loads of encouragement which was great to see. Officials dreadful lead by the odious Joe Johnson who wants the game to be about him as always.

Yes, me too, and to be honest I couldn't see how the second half was going to be any different. Then came those two goals in the two added minutes, which knocked the stuffing out of Chester and put a spring in our lads' step for the second half, when we looked the most likely winners. So their last minute winner was a sickener, but you have to ask did we really deserve anything after the first half performance.
