Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
Any of that renewed hope I had last week is disappearing and I'm becoming resigned to becoming the first team to be relegated straight back to non league.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

I heard we still get the same amount of league 2 money when we drop back to the national league, anyone know if this is true?.
Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
After they scored we should have gone more attacking doesn't matter if we go 2 nil down we need to try and score. Need to at least start with Devett on saturday. Goodridge, and Ndjoli need to be given game time J Taylor cannot last 90 mins every game
Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
Thomas has improved a lot in the past couple of weeks - just a shame he was the only one who had a half decent game tonight.
Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
He needs to give Ndjoli 90 minutes on Saturday to see if he can score
Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
Only thing I can see positive out of this is maybe we'll have to ditch the defensive gameplan and go for it now

Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
we've no chance of staying up if we continue to give away absolutely pathetic goals where was brough? Barry 10 yards from muldoon Dixon out of position it was schoolboy defending ! someone at the back should be taking charge and shouting at players where to go !
up front we offer nothing James tries hard but never looks like scoring ,Quigs looks burnt out , we don't seem to possess anyone who can run at a defence to either get a free kick or to make defenders uncomfortable we make it so easy for opposing defenders!
we can't leave it especially at home to be so cautious its so frustrating watching garbage like that which was served up tonight it was [SwearFilter] poor !

Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
That was poor. And it was poor from both teams but yet again we’ve lost, courtesy of a mistake on half way and suddenly they are clean through on goal where Joel Dixon might as well have stood with a sign saying please score in this corner.
The initial excitement of Jolley leaving has gone from the players and they’ve just reverted back into their shells now. If he’s fit enough we need to start playing Devitt more than we are, he’s the only one who looks capable of creating. Desperate for Josh Kay back as well, let’s be honest Ntlhe is pretty clueless going forward. Oh and we are absolutely desperately missing a striker to play alongside Quigley as we have been since August ffs
Only positive really tonight was Bobby Thomas; he’s been our best player by far last couple of games

The damage was done early in the season with Dunn then Jollys signings.
I thought we would do well to get a draw Muldoon always gets a break away.
We have a team missing a decent midfielder to link play up as well as being short of another decent forward.
We have just got to stick with it.I think Kelly is doing the best with what he has got .
Let's remember he inherited this team and has to set up to play with what he has got.The tactic seems to be defend and try and pinch a goal so let's keep of his back and support the team.
To those who have followed for any length of time where are the big guns like Stafford,Kettering etc.
We may not be winning but we are not geting thumped.

That must be the first time I've seen a team who need to win play for over an hour with 9 defensive players on the pitch.
Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
We are entering last chance saloon and he really is going to have to change the approach because we cant stay focused enough for 90 minutes and it only takes one chance.
Why did we have 10 men in the opposition half!??

Re: BARROW v Harrogate match thread
Only positive is that the bottom 3 all lost 1-0.
It’s a mini league that we have to win. Beyond that I can’t see anything else that we can take from that and we also massively miss Josh Kay’s attacking threat when he doesn’t play.

An extremely difficult watch. Despite all the rhetoric and hyperbole we are c**p.
I’m now relying on hope, as there is little or no basis for expectation, hope however never being an effective strategy.

Is there a prize for going a whole season without getting thumped?Pedro wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:05 pm The damage was done early in the season with Dunn then Jollys signings.
