Played better today and didn’t deserved to lose. People writing the season, manager, players off need to grow up.

Grow up are you for real !
I don’t think he’s wrong at all

We’re talking about a Stockport side that purchased a certain carrington training ground from Man City last season

They have FAR more money and FAR more pull than we do regardless of league status

Absolutely no doubt about that Adam. Not only could we not compete with them for Rooney and Quigley but they also took Croasdale from Fylde when he had agreed to sign for Barrow (and is an outstanding defensive midfield player at lower levels) and had enough money to sign Sarcevic when he fell out with Evatt and who must be on huge wages.

Paul Hornby said in a recent interview that they knew Scott Quigley would be leaving and they acted quickly to bring Zanzalla in. Why? there is nothing in this players CV to suggest he would be a 10 goal a season stricker never mind a 20 goal one.
This clubs almost obsesive addiction to having Paul Ogden as cheif scout baffles me and it has now spanned both the Casson regime and this one. I can only think of one really good player he brought in and that was Jorden Williams. Odgen is also the guy who brought in Bardley Bauress remember.
luckily with Mark Cooper we have a man who knowa what kind of players he needs to make the team succsessful but please no more signings that are not handpicked by him. And send Paul Odgen back to retirement Please.

Do we still pay this Paul Ogden guy…….wowsers if so what a waste of money!! I thought he was long gone.

...and still haven't made it into the play-off places of the National League despite the presence of Challinor, Quigley, Rooney, Madden, Sarcevic and the rest.

Correct, here is a guy who's now into his 70s, who prior to joining us was in charge of leek and in the last 3 years or so has bought no one in I can recall who was any good, is he getting paid by us? And why?
Guess it depends how you might define 'any good' but do you have any evidence that he has had no input to any signing that might be thought of as 'any good' since the players you mention?

I would, however, believe that there is not any other club in EFL 2 with directors who have a lower net wealth and that is not a criticism as I suspect they have spent a very large amount of their financial resources on the club.
Beliefs are important and, in general, to be respected but I am curious about this, Russell.

The Chairman has written that our playing budget is comfortably in the top ten of League Two clubs and that he bases this on a document circulated to clubs by the EFL.

On what is your disbelief based?

Just watched the two minute highlights:

- Weak as [SwearFilter] defending for their goal
- Played some nice stuff to create openings but yet again we couldn't finish our dinner
Popular side since '03.

Even after Kay let his man go past, there was another defender who could and should have put in a firm tackle (even though it was in the penalty area).

I think it was Tom White- it wasn’t convincing by either Kay or White in the lead up.

The goals have dried up from midfield at the minute and those valuable goals somewhat masked our deficiencies for a while. But saying that I’m still not at a level where we write off this team but questions do need to be asked of the commitment of those that are motivating at the helm.
Are we getting the most out of those on the park and what exactly are we doing in our build up to games on the training ground??
Knuckle down and crack on or have the gonads to say enough is enough! Barrow AFC is not a holiday home and it’s time to stand strong and poke your heads above the parapet.
Sorry but there are clubs within our remit that do make it work. Without excuses it’s up to us as a team, a town a football club to overcome those obstacles and prove ourselves worthy as an EFL club. Stop feeling sorry for ourselves dust ourselves down and fight on!
We have come so far together, let’s not give up our fight, for sure the back biting doesn’t help at times. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism but sometimes this forum goes well beyond that. Unity is Strength and always will be💪
Bloody hell, I'm with you, Churchill! We'll fight them on the beaches of Roanhead and Biggar Bank and Earnse Bay... :D

Adam, Jeff I'm not disputing Stockports financial clout it's the comment about "grow up " I think most people can't work out how we have a situation where our manager said we're no where near where we can go and now it's we need xyz, lack of infrastructure etc what the players we need is what Mark says, give us some positivity and a desire to win not a poor imitation of comedian Jack Dee !

There's something not right behind the scenes trouble is Mark's used to huge financial backing with everything in place, problem being we're sort of making it up as we go along ( that's not a criticism) plus Mark lost his father and the guy's hardly had time to grieve now he's got to deal with all this !
The crowd will help but surely our club should be saying ", come on we'll do this " but no nothing as Mark says now we find out what we're made of I for one never give up but leadership comes from the top let's f*****g have some!

"Yes it’s clear we need a striker or 2 but until January that can’t happen."
This I think, is why I thought Adam asked Coops if there was anyone available 'now' in his post match interview last night.
In other words-we could really be in the mire by January. Sixteen corners and hard luck doesn't keep us in the efl unless the ball is put in the back of the net.

I for one am a member if the Bluebird's trust ,a season ticket holder, pay into the trust raffle and buy match passes to watch online.I,ve also bought things from the club shop, purchase drinks in the ground and used to buy a match programme.
The only problem I find now is when I now turn up at the ground 20minutes before kick off I can,t find anyone selling them at the popular side entrance. Are they still being printed or only available online?
It would also help if we were allowed to watch away games as this would be more revenue for the club. Not everyone can afford to go to every away game, but they can afford a match pass.Surely this rule about not being allowed to watch games on a Saturday needs changing as it would help a lot of poorer clubs out with extra revenue.
To watch the match on laptop I use a VPN so you can have your IP address as your in Europe the pass costs 11 euros you can watch every game

My disbelief is based on the relatively low income we generate as a club and the fact that we have a board of directors who are not super rich or even rich at the level of Paul Casson. In addition, it is unsafe to ever believe anything that ever comes out from a football club as the public is generally told what the club would like you to believe. We were told that Rooney left because he didn't want to play in the EFL and that Quigley left to be nearer home and I certainly don't believe that they left for anything else but higher salaries.
