That thought briefly crossed my mind but checking the Pools forum there is no hint of similar rumours though to be fair that doesn't mean anything.

I wasn't being totally serious but the Hartlepool Mail also quotes Wild being joint favourite for their job.

Barrow twitter on the tease again at 10:00am. There is clearly an announcement coming very soon i.e. later this morning. Must be Wild unless we've all been sold a dummy.

Can't see it. Too much of a coincidence that Wild has formally left Halifax after the play-offs and within 2 days we're making an announcement. If it was Unsworth, why wait until this moment - makes no sense.

Liked his learn to walk before we run philosophy. Great news that he knows and has a good working relationship with our new Sporting Director Iain Wood.
Looks like he will be bringing in his own back room team so a bit on continuity there for him.
Sounded confident without being brash, all bodes well. Fingers crossed we have brought in someone that will progress things on and off the pitch over a sustained period of time. And he knows how to serve a decent pint and change a barrel
