I don't know of any "ordinary" NSC members who were invited. That's one of the reasons why I have resigned my membership.Lancaster Branch wrote:you're probably looking at no more than 10 from each group so there's bound to be folk missing out - same as not every member of the NSC would have been invited etc etc

Re: Crossbar Saturday
I have no idea who has and hasn't been invited from the NSC, I was just trying to say that with an allocation of, say, 10, then not every member (ordinary or otherwise) could attend.Steelworks End wrote:I don't know of any "ordinary" NSC members who were invited. Trust: all members automatically entered into a draw made by Richard using a random number generator, resulting an a fair process across the membership.
NSC: only members seeing and responding to an obscure visitor post on a rarely-used and unpublicised Facebook page entered into a draw, resulting in a tiny number of people being in the draw and massively increasing the odds of the NSC inner circle "in the know" being selected.

Indeed and no comments were left so that suggests no one from the NSC is goingSpanner wrote:Lancaster Branch wrote:

My comments are positive though. not using words like calling people a*******s.Bingo wrote:Yes it's my opinion Elaine you seem quite happy to ram your opinion down everyone elses throatHolkerbird wrote:
But that is your opinion which isn't necessarily anyone else's. You didn't want to go so why are you so against those that do? If I wasn't interested I wouldn't be bothered what anyone else was doing and certainly not insulting the event.
If it causes all this division and ill feeling perhaps we are better off left at the bottom of the footballing heap and ignored in future.
It's not causing me ill feeling and I'm just saying I don't know why all the fuss about a one hour event hours before the game
Anyway I'll leave it for now as I do have more pressing things happening - enjoy

Doesnt mean they are right Elaine. We can all use positive wording but in the real world things need to be said and done.Holkerbird wrote:My comments are positive though. not using words like calling people a*******s.Bingo wrote:

Re: Crossbar Saturday
Jesus wept, when I read the original [explanation] post I thought 'ah, no issues there then, all very clear and a fairly difficult decision well dealt with' but no the moaners will always have something to say.
There are ways to deal with disappointment at not getting selected or drawn to have a seat in the audience of a TV show that will be ending around 2 hours before kick off to allow plenty of time to have a social drink(s) in the club bar, I feel that some have not dealt with that disappointment very well.
