Feared the worst when that team sheet came out but happily proven wrong. Every one of them put in a shift today absolutely class. Brown, beadling, Rooney, banks, Taylor immense. The two lads up top as well absolute class, ran themselves into the ground.

Hopefully this is the turning point in the season now where we can start looking up rather then over our shoulder. When you look at that result and display today and then realise your missing Gordon, platt, gotts,stevens and the new centre half it really is exciting where this team could go, still convinced that there ain’t much quality in this division and a couple of decent wins and who knows what could happen.

Lots of great performances tonight.
Beadling playing in the middle of a back 3 was dominant in the air.
Brown is much better on the right of a back 3. Him and Brough tucked in well to cover anything Beadling didn't win.
Much more composure from everyone (aside from Farman with his superman punch he missed), we controlled large parts of the game better.

Great trip out, fans were brilliant tonight! Lots having done Newport a few days before too

FORZA BLUEBIRDS, had a feeling we might get something out of this game, well done everybody, can l hope for the same on Saturday against the Rovers. Who knows by the time l get over for the Leyton Orient away match we may safe. Bluebirds flying in Rome.

Can't understand this fixation with Taylor's age and so called "slowness". I would consider fitness, ability, vision and commitment more important than running round like a 16 year old and achieve nothing!

Think your point can be backed by looking at how much Luke James runs. He’s got pace and energy to burn but never looks a threat in front of goal and being a striker the footballing ability should come before his Duracell bunny fitness. My only concern is how long it’ll take Taylor to recover to feel like he can go another 90 at the same standard. Tranmere will be playing at a similar intensity and if we can’t keep their attackers quiet like we did the cobblers last night the old “legs have gone” quotes will be back out.

Agreed. Far too much of that in recent games. Much more direct and effective attacking football tonight.

Great performance last night, from Beadlings aggression at the back through to James's phenomenal work-rate but I thought despite not seeing much of the ball, Rooneys composure when he got it was impressive. It was pretty frantic at times but the moment he got it, a quick look up and simple pass to a blue shirt. He knows what pass is on before he gets it. Quality.

Glad I chose to attend last night. Terrific performance, both on and off the field.

Sixfields is a strange place - completely soulless.

From what I could see on iFollow it looks like a big pitch with the stands low and set back (I assume the big stand is where the cameras were). The pitch looked good.
On the match itself, I have just watched the highlights and thought Glennon’s running for the goal was excellent. I agree with Salcellar above, very little of that ineffective sideways passing last night, but we also avoided resorting to pointless big hoofs. Some of our passing and control on the ball was excellent.
Let’s see more of the same on Saturday, but we do have a bad habit of doing well away only to play badly in front of a good home crowd. Not this Saturday!

Anyone else woke up this morning in a much better place and a spring in their step or is it just me.

The question now is whether to change things for saturday. Would you bring Canavan into the back three and, if so, who would you leave out? Perhaps move Beadling into Jason Taylor's role and give the old timer a rest

Holloway came off injured hope it doesn’t rule him out as he’s been great since signing - exactly what we needed.Hope he’s fit for Sat.

If Canavan is fully fit I would be very surprised if he doesn’t start on Saturday

Mark Cooper said last night keeping Barrow in the football league will be his biggest achievement in football

Absolutely this.

He might not be able to play the full 90 minutes at times, or could struggle when another game pops up four days later (like this week) but what cracking player and professional to be able to use when needed.
It seems unfair to pick players out when they all played so well but credit to Brown, he has his limitations but he’s 100% committed all the time, some great shot blocking off him last night.
