Hercule Poirot, would love this case, it would certainly test his little grey cells!!!Steeley wrote:So, we think there is a conspiracy to cover this up, the evening mail etc. deny its a cover up, the club/Edmo believe its a conspiracy against them, and a large number of people think the club/police is involved in a conspiracy against certain fans for similar(ish) incidents. #conspiracy

On the day the news story properly broke - we signed 2 players and announced a third was training and expected to sign

Which way Kie? If these super loose hearsay so called facts were presented to a standard court of law I'm 100% the judge would hurl the book at the prosecutor for bringing such flimsy at best evidence before him/her....I've never heard of bringing a witness who you had a chat with the next day & told your version of events & who never witnessed anything as your witness, unbelievable. Also the main witness can not recall the exact wording?? I am flabbergasted they heard the case never mind the guilty verdict WTF.KHayman wrote:[SwearFilter] double standards.

I mean he's been found guilty by the FA for sexist comments, the club haven't made a statement and they tried to cover it up.
The EM have kept it under wraps and it seems to have disappeared off the website.
A Barrow fan swears and he's spread all over the front cover of the mail and given a ban by the club.
No statement is probably for the best especially after this peach.
Dodd continued "We deplore any kind of racism, there is no place for it anywhere in society. We have worked very hard over the last few years with our links with the "Kick it out" campaign. Our fans have generally been superb in this regard and have if anything displayed positive racial discrimination, with any black players at the club being hero-worshipped whatever their ability in the team."

Hmmm, Weren't the clubs hand forced into by the ban by the plod telling them if they didn't the police would aim for a 3 year banning order? "IF" All that is true, then they acted in the lads best interests...If the club haven't made any comment then how have they tried to cover it up? they just didn't bring it to the publics attention & after reading that "So called evidence" IF I was the club I'd be seriously considering an Appeal, maybe that's why they have stayed stum, who knows?...The NWEM splashing it all over the show & removing the coverage is suspicious but it's their business not the clubs....

Re: Edmo has 5 match touchline ban for sexist comments
The club banned Leitchy for a year based on what the police had told them and he got a letter from the club saying he was banned for a year. It turned out some of what the police had told the club wasn't true so Leitchy appealed the ban and it was reduced to 6 months as somewhere along the line the police said they'd apply for a 3 year banning order if he wasn't banned. It's a joke how the club are being controlled by the police, the police are allowed to act the way they do and judges can impose long banning orders for such trivial offences. Absolutely stinks and the club certainly aren't blameless due to the way they handled this initially.mickmike wilson wrote:Hmmm, Weren't the clubs hand forced into by the ban by the plod telling them if they didn't the police would aim for a 3 year banning order? On the point about Edmo's ban it was known about for almost a fortnight before the story broke on here, there was plenty of time for the Mail to go public with the story, yet nothing was mentioned. It's blatantly obvious they never mentioned it for fear of upsetting the club and only published it once the story became widely known through appearing on here and are doing whatever they can to limit the damage for the club.
The 2 stories were happening a similar time and look at how the club and Mail treat them so differently. Stab the fans in the back and at the same time try to cover-up the incident with the manager (that was going to come out anyway). The club's attitude to its fans is a disgrace.

Thanks John, that puts more meat on the bones of it, but in saying that there will be things we don't know, which is how it usually is
. BAFC have been very fortunate by not getting charged for policing when we have high profile games previously, I'd guess this possibly has something to do with keeping on their good side, honestly don't know or how/why the Mail do what they do, Anyone wrote in asking about this?
